I found an iPod today

Hey there,

Yeah, I found an iPod today. I was at College and I saw an empty locker opened with only an iPod in it. First reaction: i didn't touch it. 3 hours later: i come back and it's still there, so I take it. Then, i go to the security office to tell them i found it, but they tell me i have to put it in the ''losts and founds'' and they can't do anything more. But i don't trust this : it seems so easy to just say that you lost your ipod and take one there... They didn't want to take my phone number in case someone demands it, so the person would call me and I would ask him questions to make sure it's its iPod. So, here I am, at home with a 120GB iPod Classic. The device's name is Anthony, but there is 60 anthonys at my college, i checked online... What would you do ??

Is there a product number code on it? It would be in its "About" section in the Settings or Extras menue. You could ask them that. It should be on the box, if they still have it. (Though if your at university, it'll probably be back at their house if their in residence. So I dunno. Ask about the songs or videos on it?)

And post notices so people will know to contact you.

I found an iPhone in the snow outside the student center at OU last winter. It still worked, so I was able to find the owner's email address and get in touch with her. She was a nice lady, gave me a hug when I returned it. Yay for doing good, it's cool, good luck TC.

man I would have a hard time giving that up. An extra 120 gigs would be incredibly useful to me, but at the same time I hope that I would do what you are doing.

Go back to the office, tie them down, then use their speaker.

So fricking simple. Post a sign, and to identify it, the guy must sync the IPod to his computer/device management program to check whether its really his.

This is a trick, let me tell you what this is, this is some college nerds experiment to keep track on a person. Soon they'll be at your place, when you leave, staging bad things, you'll have a nervous breakdown and you'll blame it on the iPod, and they'll take it back and do the same to another student. Throw the ipod in a dumpster by my house. :)
