I had a lucid dream that I died

A while ago I had a dream and at the end I got shot then died. I knew I was going to die so I said forgive me god. Then it felt like my body going numb then my brain being in the process of shutting down. It went all greyish black. The exact way I think would happen when you die. I could still think after I died but I was forgetting everything. I guess my dream was about the proccess of dieing so I didnt experience actual death. Now that I experienced the proccess of dieing im not scared of it anymore. Im not even gonna ask god for forgiveness but I probably will because its so easy. Death seems so easy now. Everything shutting down. I wont think twice about what happens after you die now.

I'v had lucid dreams were i experienced pain and i should have died but i didn't. I;v never died in my dreams. I should have multiple times. Like when i got cut up into peices with a chainsaw i should have been dead but i wasn't.

I've died a few times in dreams, usually just wake up right away.

I get lucid dreams almost every night. I think it's some kind of sleeping disorder. At least I get to stay in bed for 12 hours straight.

I've only died once in a dream, and it was a strange one too, I was a pregnant woman and I got gunned down after I left a convenience store.

I've had lucid dreams where I've been hurt in them. It's wierd because I would feel some snese of pain, just not the real thing.LightR

OP- your dream sounds very similar to one that I had not too long ago. In mine, I got shot with a shotgun at least twice, and was sitting up against a wall in an alley bleeding and getting weak. I actually got up and managed to take out a couple of the gang members who had assailed me. I escaped in a car with some friends or family.

I have died in dreams before, but this one was actually scarier to me.

Often I am not the central figure of my dream, or if I am, I'm not in it in a first person sort of mode.

My dreams are basically movies. I've had dreams where I'm not even there and I'm just watching others.

My only lucid dreams are when I had all kinds of superpowers, flying, invisibility etc. When I start lucid dreaming, I say to myself "I know it's a dream" then fly and wreak havoc all over the place. Was fun though.

I have those all the time...always creepy waking up after one of them.

i never died in my dreams.

I can't dream and I don't know why.

i rarely die in my dreams i am invincible i have been shot stabed blown up cut into peices nuked eaten sufforcated gassed crushed, had my head smahed by sledge hammer fallen off buildings drowned... you get the idea

however last night's dream was weired i was riding a motorbike on the wrong side of the road and could not get back on the correct side so i was mulled over by the cops. i surrendered to them and they had sticks like deadrising 2 but insted of chainsaws they had tazers and as i surrendered they tazered me to death it took 8 tazers they wouldn't stop lol.

it is the only time i have died.

This might sound crazy, but have you considered that what takes place in your subconscience might not be entirely accurate?yabbicoke

interesting theory i have had dreams that skip from one scene to another. once i dreamed i woke up there was a monster in the kitchen and he said "the scarier you are the faster you die". i was only 7 it scared the crap out of me i thought i had woken up lol.

I think the experience you felt was more waking up than dying, that sounds an awful lot like what happens when I start losing my lucidity. Could be wrong though.

Anyway, I've never had a dream, lucid or otherwise, where I died.

You guys are all so lucky to have had Lucid dreams. I didn't even know about 'em till just today with that thread. And already I desperatly want one.
