I can't stand hot drinks. If someone offers me tea, it has to be cold or I can't drink it.

What is with hot drinks? It feels horrible going down your throat and it doesn't quench your thirst or anything. What's with America's fascination with coffee?

I hate coffee. And I make a point to complain about coffee's existence whenever someone has a cup of coffee. I think it's cost me a few promotions.

I love coffee, especially Colombian. In my opinion their second finest export... It's not about quenching thirst, its about tasting delicious and complimenting a cigarette nearly perfectly. I used to need to wait for a while for hot drinks to cool down a bit, but now the hotter the better.

I luuurve my hot drinks. and how can you drink cold tea? It doesn't taste the same as iced tea (which I also love) It's not meant to quench your thirst, it tastes and feels good when you're cold or have a soar throat. Also, it's great with pastry, pie, buns etc. :D

It's mostly the caffeine.

As for the taste, it's really easy to make bad coffee. Most restaurants have horrible coffee. Most coffee shops have bad coffee (at least some of the time) unless you go there during peak hours. Coffee is best freshly ground, steeped with plenty of grounds and for a brief time (to avoid bitterness), and still piping hot.

As soon as someone cuts corners by using pre-ground coffee, it'll suffer. Even worse is using less than the recommended amount of coffee and just letting it sit longer to absorb the flavour, as it'll come out tasting like those little hairy cucumbers (ie, bitter as **bleep**).

I've never tried it. I don't like the smell of it. I'll occasionally drink hot chocolate (maybe once or twice a year), but other than that, I'm against hot drinks.

I don't necessarily like coffee that much, but I need it to stay up during these 8:00 am lectures. For studying at home though, I usally drink tea instead.

I usually drink warm things when its hot, something I learned in my trips around the world (not that Im the most globetrotter'esque person). It feels nice.

So at summer I drink Coffee, mostly different kinds of soup tho.

People here (in Denmark) are insane, thioer coffee intake is amazing, I can perhaps drink 1 cup of coffee or coffee type drink before I had my fill.

Its kinda odd, innit? coffee smells so nice, but tastes, well... not as good anyways.

Same here pal, I've never understood why people drink that nasty tasting stuff... same with Tea, it doesn't quench your first, it doesn't taste nice and it doesn't cool you down (which Is what I like drinks to do)

I can live without it but my day does not go well if I dont get a cup or three to start my day.

As for temperature, I hate scalding drinks. I never boil my water, I just bring it up to 160-180 or so. Its better for the aromatics in tea and coffee believe it or not.
