lol, Creed was the best christian rock band ever, then they split up3DayFinisher
I don't think Creed meant to be Christian rock so much as his lyrics had a bit of an influence from his upbringing.
I am a Christian. I find Christian rock, rap sad. Like I have to go to my youth group and hear "power to JC! We look like idiots going to Christian rock concerts and ect! Meh___Guy

My brother has recently began making raps based on my families christian faith.
Is it so wrong that he raps about what is most important to him?
Its better than rapping about buying a new car or about someho he just picked up in my opinion, but thats just me.

I respect people who are religous because that's their choice, but it's not their duty to push it onto me.

I know some christian bands that are hella good. Allatus Adeo for example is rediculas. However, being in a christian band is a lot easier then being in a normal band. There are a lot of labels that will pick up almost any band just because on myspace they throw christian as one of their genres. It's sad, and pisses me off when no talent bands who rip eachother off can get signed and make a living all because they preach about God. I can almost gaurentee that if my band decided we were a christian band when we first started out, we'd be signed, and you might have acually heard of us (assuming you listen to metal and check out indie labels in Ontario...)
Also, what ever happened to music comes first? A lot of christian bands promote their religeon more then their music. THAT is **** no matter how you look at it. Kind of like how 50 cent promotes that he got shot 9 times more then he promotes his "music".
I haven't heard much Christian music outside of like church groups and stuff. But when I would go to youth group with my friends, and they had a praise band, all the songs sounded the same, and the lyrics were mostly repetitive.
But one of my former guitar teachers was in a Christian metal band. He played me one of their songs and I went to their website (he wouldn't tell me the name of his band, but I figured it out myself) and listened to some of their songs, and they're pretty kick ass.
[QUOTE="Def_Jef88"]I saw Red last week in Concert. Im not a chrisitan but they still owned.seals44
Your so lucky man, i wanted to go to their concert in cleveland, but i couldnt get a ride:cry: Anyway, are they really good live? Just as good as on their cd?
It was actually the first time id ever heard of them. They were kinda just opening. The main attraction was Three Days Grace.[QUOTE="seals44"][QUOTE="Def_Jef88"]I saw Red last week in Concert. Im not a chrisitan but they still owned.Def_Jef88
