That's exactly it. I was a special ed kid in high school. You think I was popular? Popular kids are the ones who enjoy high school because of all their friends. I didn't fit in worth crap.To top if off, you do have difficulty in some classes. I'm not an East Asian kid who knows calculus. I remember this one Asian kid who f*cking smiled while he did his pre-calculus (or maybe it WAS calculus) homework. Hell, I had to switch to a math skills class (very basic math) because I was getting a D in geometry concepts, which is pretty much basic geometry.
Plus, I never got a girlfriend (no surprise there) thanks to mediocre social skills. Hell, I barely fit in with the friends that I did have. I did have occasional times where I was (or felt) bullied and negatively judged. One time there was a group of Mexican kids throwing food at me, and I'm like what the hell? Because of teenage raging hormones, I was paranoid as f*ck. I would walk in the halls, and so many people were staring at me, much of the time with ominous facial expressions. I never did sh*t to anyone in high school because I was so socially inept. I could barely stand up for myself, let alone actually try to f*ck with somebody else. I'm still wondering how I'm gonna survive in this modern complicated society. I feel as if I was born in the wrong time of human history.
F*ck me.
So, unless you're popular, very smart, or both, generally, high school isn't a pleasurable experience.
