what is the point of adding fake laughs to the background of a comedy or keeping laughs in on DVDs or when the shows get broadcasted. Am I to stupid to know when to laugh? Laugh tracks ruin lots of DVDs I buy because it drowns out the talking.

Arrested Development, The Office and Scrubs.  Any other comedie sitcoms i watch are only to burn time.

When there's nothing else to laugh at, there is always one peculiar laugh in the track that makes you chuckle a bit. Always.
