It's inexcusable. I never had such ridiculous problems with other forum software before. This should be unacceptable from a bussness view point. We should not tolarate this crap.

I usually don't like to complain, but I think alex is perfectly justified in this particular case. These forums are mess software-wise. I shouldn't have to paste my YouTube link into notepad and then paste it back into my post. That's ridiculous.
The worst thing about this is that I've seen small forums owned and run by either one or a few people that function way better than this one.
GS is a pretty big website. They should be able to get their **** in order.
It does the job, but I do hate getting errors especially with links, images and quoting. I also don't like when I put sentences/paragraphs in different lines, but then it merges it into one big wall of text after submitting.
The site is owned by CNET. There is no excuse for a site this large to run this poorly. It does the job, but I do hate getting errors especially with links, images and quoting. Exactly.
And people have been complaining about this for a long time.
You probably have the WYSIWYG Editor turned. I always had problems with that so I turned it off and it's so much easier to make posts.I usually don't like to complain, but I think alex is perfectly justified in this particular case. I concurThis forum does work very poorly when it's working at all. Luckily the community is great to make up for it.

Yeah, I do, but when I turn it off, my paragraphs get smooshed together.

They aren't smoshed together for me. It all depends on who you are quoting. If you're quoting someone who has the editor on, then it will appear that way but if you're quoting someone who has it off, then it won't. Kinda wished GS did away with the editor as it causes nothing but problems and the code tags are pretty easy to learn. Why do you do that? It's easier to use BBCode, and you have a working link again.;)I shouldn't have to paste my YouTube link into notepad and then paste it back into my post. That's ridiculous.

ehhhhh.....
Anyways this forum needs a fixing for sure. Not being able to post link's is the worst.
I am as well, I was hoping that "surprise" a while back would have been something like updating or changing the software but I think we all know how that went.... lol :P
I rarely get all these problems that you guys complain about. What am I doing wrong? :? horgen123You pay them cash?
it used to be not bad, but I dont think it has ever been upgraded in over 5+ years.theshadowhunter
They should just switch over to XenForo.. that thing is really damn impressive. The Firefall and Terraria forums both run that.
