So I'm sure all of you have played the sims and heard of spore before. Now before you think that I think these are the greatest games of all time and such and whatever let me explain myself So I've always been fascinated by sims and spore-esque games where you get to play "the creator" and you can do practically whatever, I was really disappointed by spore, because I thought the game was going to be different that the way it turned out. See instead of creating a microscopic life form and playing as that life form with a goal to become the dominant species, I though the game would be more observation based. I thought you would have been able create the planet, the geography, the climate, and I thought you would essentially plop down your creation on the planet and see how it behaves, what it does and what it eats. But that was not the experience I got with spore. SO WHAT AM I SAYING! What I'm saying is that I think it would make for a good game. The premise is simple, you choose how large you want your world to be(tiny, small, average, large, humungous, epic) then you choose from a set of mutators that will control your world, things like terrain, weather, time cycle, resources, bodies of water, starting species, bugs, prey, and such. Alternatively you can create a true custom map and have that as a play space. Then, you create an organism at its basic form. Afterwords, you plop it down into your world and see how it behaves. You can also create multiple organisms and choose where and how many you want in the play-space, this is cool because you can have multiple species present that will behave and interact differently with one another and their environment. Now this is the interesting part, you can choose to sit and observe what it does in the name of science, or you can change and adapt the world. You can do things like cause rain or snowfall, terraform, create a disease, cause a famine, add or subtract resources, and even add or subtract organisms. Organisms will evolve over time to be able to do things more efficiently, sometimes they will change color, grow limbs, and other times they will lose a sense in order to gain a new one or sharpen another. Evolution happens over thousands of years which will pass in the game after only a few hours of game time. It will take a few million years for a species to evolve to sentience and another million to have them progress to intelligent life forms. Once they are intelligent enough, the game will end, and that species will win. So that's the bare bones of it for now. I hope you all like it and enjoyed reading through this, remember to keep the thread alive with ideas criticism and such!

This would satisfy all those with God complexes i.m.o.

But just thinking about it, it would probably be interesting if done right.
