[QUOTE="Pirate700"]I suggest getting with the 21st century and DL your music. I haven't seen a CD in stores in ages. :?CRS98
Really? I find them at Wal-Mart all the time, though they don't have a very good selection.
They don't have a good selection because nobody buys them anymore.[QUOTE="Pirate700"]I suggest getting with the 21st century and DL your music. I haven't seen a CD in stores in ages. :?CRS98

MP3s (or apples equivalent) are not crapy in the slightest. CDs are crappy and obsolete.

MP3s are pretty crappy, especially Apple's, which are only at 128kbps... which is sad

Aye aye, nowadays sound quality is being sacrificed for volume, though it's not restricted to downloads.

Buying an obsolete format that is expected to be completely off store shelves by the end of next year is pretty sad also. ;)What would you rather have? A physical copy of an album, that you can rip to your computer at very high bitrates (320 for MP3), or a crappy version with a low bitrate that sounds bad (Apple's 128kbps MP3s) for the same price?

There is no doubt that CDs are of better sound quallity. The format is still obsolete and experts predict it will be completely off shelves next year. There is a reason the places that still sell CDs only carry a few these days.[QUOTE="gasmaskman"][QUOTE="Pirate700"][QUOTE="Nifty_Shark"][QUOTE="CRS98"][QUOTE="Pirate700"]I suggest getting with the 21st century and DL your music. Buying an obsolete format that is expected to be completely off store shelves by the end of next year is pretty sad also. ;)I download MP3s more than I get CDs, obviously, but ideally, I'd rather get CDs. With a CD, I can burn all the music on my computer, and put it on my iPod, and if I ever feel like listening to it not with headphones (say, in my room), then I have the CD, so I can listen to it on my DVD/CD player while I do other things, and it sounds a lot better. So no, I wouldn't say they're obsolete or crappy. And where did you hear that they were gonna stop making CDs? That would be the dumbest move ever. Nobody would benefit from it in any way.[QUOTE="gasmaskman"][QUOTE="Pirate700"][QUOTE="gasmaskman"][QUOTE="Pirate700"][QUOTE="Nifty_Shark"][QUOTE="CRS98"][QUOTE="Pirate700"]I suggest getting with the 21st century and DL your music. This. Also, the new Of Montreal album was tight, if you don't mind a bit of funk-psych-pop :D.

I suggest getting with the 21st century and DL your music. I haven't seen a CD in stores in ages. :?Pirate700Although you can do whatever you want....I highly do NOT recommend DL your music. The audio sounds way worse and owning a real copy of physical music is much better.
What kind of alternative music? Alternative is a very broad genre.

Anyways, I suggest trying Rise Against. They aren't quite alternative rock, but just listen tothis. Orthis

I also like to buy CDs them most since they have pretty awesome artwork and it just feels better to have a physical copy in your hands. My advice to you is to buy Separation Sunday by the Hold Steady.
I think they are easily the greatest band in America right now.

To bad vinyl is so expensive, it cost so much that i never open them :( Like last week i found The Queen is Dead vinyl and it was 80 bucks. O well its worth it to have classics in classic form :)Please Log In to post.
