I do all things in three's.

I do things in three's.

I do things in three's.

(^that was sorta a joke, but it is true)

I spell near everything correct on paper.

When Americans refer to Great Britain, I must intervene and say: Great Britain is the unification of England and Scotland. The United Kingdom is the unification of England, Wales, Scotland, and North Ireland.

I can't stand to be dirty.

I cannot eat an even number of things.

Does anyone else have OCD? Those are just a few of my terrible symptoms.

I have a slight case. People say I just have tendences. I wash my hands a lot while i'm at home. I wash them so much while I am at home that in the winter because of the cold my hands will be all red and it is painful. I have gotton a lot better. When I am out or at school I never watch my hands even before I eat. But at home, I will touch the door knob and will have to wash my hands before touching my xbox. It is not as bad now. When I get a new electronic if it gets one scratch on it I freak out. I have returned a couple iPods and paid restocking fees because of scratches. When I go and close my locker door. I have to check it so much to feel safe about it. I close the door, rub my hand from top to bottom to make sure it is closed, spin the dial so many times and then press the button like 20 times to make sure it is closed. If my friends are around I don't do it as much. Sometimes they will see me do it and get frustrated. Most of it is just pressing the button though. Thats it really. I doesn't effect me to much. Most my friends don't know about it.

If I write a sentence differently than the way I was thinking in my head( like skipping the if it's not neccessary) I'll have to stop and erase it, or start repeating it clearly outloud because it keeps bothering me.

When I go to sleep at night I always have my backpack close to my bed, with my shoes next, then my sandals then my pants covering the shoes and sandals :P

Oh yeah, I have a BUNCH of little OCD-like quirks.

+ When I'm watching TV/playing games/listening to music, the volume MUST be on an even number at ALL times.
+ When I walk I have to count my steps in my head, and before I get to a crack, I have to have stepped in the square of sidewalk an even number of times.
+ My shoes have to be tied in an equally tight fashion. If one feels more loose than the other, then I have to start over until they feel equal.
+ I always have to spell things correctly.
+ I try my absolute hardest at all times to speak, type, and write with perfect grammar, though I must admit that I make mistakes.
etc.

I'm not saying that I have OCD or anything, however... though it does run in my family.

I think you have improper grammar regarding this sentence:

No, but I have a few quirks:

  • I can't hear anything else if a clock is ticking in a room (no matter how quiet the ticking is).
  • I can't eat some foods if they touch one another on a plate.
  • I keep all of my games organized with most recently played being to the right side of the console and the least played being farther to the right (I somehow memorize the order of every single game and I'll go out of my way to adjust it properly).
  • I turn the water on 3 times before I fill a cup.
  • I empty and fill a cup with water 2 times before filling it with a drink of my choice (annoys the hell out of me when I go to a restauraunt).
  • I usually listen to songs for about 2-12 hours straight (currently doing that with MSI - Shut Me Up).

Oh man! That sounded like you were describing me! :P I honestly think I have OCD, though I also think I'm slowly getting over it. But the mental damage has been done, and because of my OCD quirks, my sister unknowingly tortured me for years.

i have minorcase of it. this is a new one when i'm typing something out when i spell it wrong i have to delete the entire word even if it is correct the first part.

i have to start touching things as i walk by.

sometimes if something is wrong then i have to move it a little.

when i'm using photoshop playing around with the opasity of the layer it has to be on a 5. i liked the color the image was at it was at 34 i clicked off i noticed i changed it to 35.

i can't eat something that sombody else has started eating or with their fork. say sombody is cutting a pieace of steak starts cutting a pieace off i can't eat the peiace they cut from because their fork was on it.

What is the deal with even numbers? For me doing things in even numbers isn't enough, i have to do things in a binary number (1, 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, etc.).

Yeah, I have OCD. I have a problem with being dirty. I have to be clean, pretty much all the time. If I'm not, my mind thinks about it and it's hard to stop. It's like Howard Hughes or Invader ZIM in the "Germs" episode. It sucks, but you just got to push through it. I know what you mean about the "United Kingdom" thing. I have to do the same thing. I also have to do it when people refer to The Netherlands as Holland. There are tons of other stuff, but I'd be here all day typing them out if I was to explain them all.

+ When I'm watching TV/playing games/listening to music, the volume MUST be on an even number at ALL times.

t3hrubikscube

I'm kind of the same, but I do it all in fives. Same with when I play online poker or blackjack. Any betting I do is in increments of five. I also have some specific routines I follow, such as when I spray deodorant I'll spray under my left arm, then under my right, then one last quick spray under my left. I'm kind of the same with the shoes that someone else mentioned, where I try to make each one feel the same, but I only really try one or two times. When I wear glasses or sunglasses, I can't be able to touch the bottom of the frames with my cheeks. That just is annoying. I'm pretty particular about things at work too, where everything that needs to be filled (when I worked in a supermarket deli or in my current job at a bottle shop) needs to be stacked to the hilt (which kind of annoys the people I work with :)). One of the people I worked with said I might have some form of OCD, but I didn't get it checked - I'm not much for going to the doctor's just to wait for over an hour to see someone for five minutes and have them tell me bad news (which is probably why me knees and wrist are so bad, but oh well...)

But on other things, I'm really not. There are heaps of clothes and other stuff all over my bedroom floor, and my bag for uni is a disorganised mess. I probably have a case of it, but meh...

It runs in my family, but I only have little quirks:

+ If I'm not sitting down at my computer, it has to be locked. Even if i'm like a meter away.
+ I wash the glass out 8 times to have a drink of something.
+ I feel guilty about loads of things
+ I speak to myself to sort of... organise my thoughts, you know?
+ While im in the house, a candle has to be lit.

I make a thread like this a month or so ago and people stopped replying so it died lol.
Well mine isnt that bad. Bit of a germ nazi though, well actually im not i just like to be clean. People think i wash my hands alot but thats because ive been patting my cat. I get really annoyed when people leave their snotty tissues lying around and I cant say anything to them, although youd think its common courtesy to put your dirty whatevers in the bin and not make other people have to touch it, including toothpicks left on the couch. I check powerpoints are turned off even though I know they are haha. Im sure theres probably alot more but you cant be bothered reading even this much can you lol?

I like even numbers and I like new things and sets. Things have to be at a certain angle, not necessarily at 90 degrees but it clicks either right or wrong in my head. If my curtains are out of place it bugs me. I kinda have OCD but not to the point that it affects my life

I need things straight. Pictues, silverware on the table, whatever. I have to correct people if they say "you did good." with "you did well." Those are just a couple of my things.
