Whenever I'm looking after my niece (5yr old) I'll start up Fifa and let her mess around with the controller while in that Arena mode. She always asks to play it.
She also seems to like watching my Metallica DVD collection :P
Slapstick comedy works every time.
Alternatively, try game shows like Wipeout or the wacky Japanese export Most Extreme Elimination. (Also known as Takeshi's Castle.)

Playdough works good, so does coloring books, most cartoons, cookies, juice, dress up, barbies, babies, puppies, kitties, horses. Almost anything pink or purple.. DS. Xbox (yes... xbox games. they may not be "good" at them but just being allowed to touch it makes em happy)xhellcatxAhh, to be 6 again. :)

Do something useful, stimulating yet entertaining. And no, it's not videogames :P
Drawing, paiting or reading a book? Or you could always tell her stories from the ghetto if she dislikes disney stuff.
If I pull out any video games its going to be SNES and DKC 1 or 3 (don't have 2 and those are the only snes games I haven atm). Everything else I have is inappropiately violent for small children aside from flower and noby noby boy. I could be cruel and make her watch me play Silent Hill 2-3 with the lights out though
I'd take her to the park to kill time but I think its going to be raining.
[QUOTE="funsohng"]Wii or DSFightingfanDo this. Girls just love a DS and Pokemon!
