I do actually. I live in La Mesa. Which is pretty close to where the fires are. I have the smoke filled skies, raining ashes, and hot winds where I live. It sucks.

Yeah. I was in downtown San Diego on Saturday. It's weird knowing that it's full of smoke now. I live about sixty mies away, so I'm good.

Right now, my city (Santee) is out of harm's way....For now. During the Firestorm of '03, my house came 1/2 mile from being turned to ash, so this is an all too familiar feeling. :?

for those of you who know San Diego, Im in El Cajon at the very bottom of Crest. I was just up at mount Helix and saw fire coming over the top of Jamul(maybe Harbison Canyon. we think its part of the Harris fire or a completely new one). not lookin too good for east county. hopefully it wont reach my house. its about 1 mile away from where the fire ended in 2003...

its about 10:30pm and not many people are gonna get much sleep in the next few days

It's sad that people here who just had their houses re built 3 years ago from the first major fire have to go through all this **** again.

God-dammit, it's not getting any better. Mount Miguel is slowly getting engulfed, the fire is still at 5% contained; God, this is getting worse and worse by the hour. Hopefully, Santee's not going to get ****ed by the fire; that's 54,000 people plus the 400 at Santana High School; my school by the way.

it was terrible when we had the tragic fires here in Portugal in 2003, 2004 and 2005... people dieing, loosing their houses, screaming in panic, some trapped by the flames... i was pretty safe (in Lisbon) but i couldnt stand watching the news... the "whole" country was burning... i bet it's just as worse there, and so, i wish the people of San Diego the best of luck, and hope your houses and possessions end up fine, good luck
