It kills me to do so since I don't want to penalize the remaining staff for the myopic decisions of management.

I waited until CNet/Gamespot issued an explanation and I am very unsatisfied. I still do not believe management "gets it" and this is the last option I have as a consumer. The tenor of their excuse does not convey regret for poor decision making.

Gamespot staff: I'm sorry. I hope that others taking the same action will get the message across to CNet and Gamespot management, ultimately improving your working conditions.

Gamespot management: I will not return as a customer until those responsible for Gerstmann's dismissal have themselves been fired.

CNet management: I'm done with you too. I hate to say it given the quality of your site, but this is an ethical decision.

This seems more blog worthy to me than OT worthy, now had you added some "i cancelled my subscription and wanted to know how to ask a girl out..." then it would of been OT worthy.

I dont think he should have blogged it. Its nice that the exodus is getting more visibility. Not that its like, huge and sweeping right now, but you never know how many more of these can start snowballing.
