Is the Fith season really that bad? I mean i just cant imagine the show without her ugh im seriously kinda depressed over that right now -_-
I don't know why people are hating on the fifth season. Granted it started off annoying thanks to the newly introduced character, but by the second half it was much better. I partly credit that to the absence of Rita.
Anyway, yeah, season 4's ending came out of nowhere. It would have been better imo if they had made it so Rita committed suicide due to not being able to handle Dexter's constant absences, lies, and letdowns (would have made the fifth season far more interesting) instead of "Trinity, against all logic, somehow managed to kill Rita".
I didn't care, I was glad they got rid of her, she turned into an annoying ***** of a characterSaintLeonidasAgreed. I hated Rita's character and was glad when they got rid of her. All she did was whine and complain (usually about trivial stuff) for the first four seasons. Not to mention her kids were very poorly written (and thus also annoying to watch), and all three were terrible actors/actresses.

i agree i dont know what the season 5 hate is all about once it gets going its an amazing season the best yet if you ask me. and ritas death i agree is the reason for season 5's awesomeness. it shows dexter in a new light and breaks the same old same old mentality that the first 4 seasons were guilty of but season 4 was starting to break from that mentality. i do disagree i dont think rita should of committed suicide. but i do have a roommate who refuses to watch season 5 because of how season 4 ended he really loved rita.5th season was better than the 3rd season. 3rd was a snooze fest, I mean....who the **** was this skinner guy? I didn't even pay attention to that part of the story it was so boring. And I did not enjoy Miguel Prado's character.

3rd was better than 5th season
Hell, the first good episode of Season 5 wasn't until "Take it!" (episode 8 )! Took 8 episodes to get there.
Seasons 1, 2, and 4 are the best so far.
After 3 lame episodes in Season 6, the 4th and 5th episodes of Season 6 are excellent.
The skinner was the tree cutter.5th season was better than the 3rd season. 3rd was a snooze fest, I mean....who the **** was this skinner guy? I didn't even pay attention to that part of the story it was so boring. And I did not enjoy Miguel Prado's character.

I think almost everybody can agree season 3 was the worst so far.5th season was better than the 3rd season. 3rd was a snooze fest, I mean....who the **** was this skinner guy? I didn't even pay attention to that part of the story it was so boring. And I did not enjoy Miguel Prado's character.

Guess I'm in the minority, I think the 5th was the worst.
The first real good episode of season 5 was the 8th episode ("Take it")!
Enjoy it, TC. That was the last good season of Dexter. The show could have ended there, maybe.
I didn't hate season 5, and I'm not hating season 6, but they're definitely "safer" seasons. Nothing mindblowing, nothing risked, nothing gained.
I've only seen the first five seasons so far (I wait for the DVDs on most shows), but I've loved every season so far. The fifth gets a lot of hate, but I really enjoyed it once things got moving. The fourth was easily my favorite and the third was my least. Excited to see season 6 once its finally out.
I don't know why people are hating on the fifth season.

Julia Styles was reason enough... ew
The first episode of season 5 was great (when you find out how much Rita's death actually effected Dexter and that dexter actually loved her), the rest went downhill. Season 6 was pretty bad until the last episodeDiviniuz
How have you seen all of Season 6? Or did you mean episode 9 of Season 6?
Personally I thought Episodes 4 - 9 of season 6 have been excellent...other than episode 8
