I Just Got My License!

The only reason I'm here is because I'm not on the insurance yet. (I live in New Jersey: strict laws + strict dad = no fun until its legal). Anyways, this the first thread I've made in OT and I just wanted to see what kind of reception this would get.

Nice. You will need insurance definitely. I was hit by a teenager who was only on his license for 2 months. It's better to be safe than sorry. Be glad you don't live where I do. Versus_XIII

Congrats. Got mine 2 months ago, been putting it off. Remember though that no matter how good of a driver you think you are, you are still at a higher risk of an accident. I recommend taking defensive driving and tactical driving courses. I'm taking them now, and I think they should be required for all drivers.Aeronautical

NJ uses the Graduated Driver Program and we have to take Driver's Ed course in school

I got mine a few weeks ago, I'm getting my insurance tomorrow.
