Wow. That was one hell of a mind****.
Brilliantly suspenseful, disturbing, and it delivers one hell of a twist.

So OT is lying to me :cry:Good film, but the notion that all men have some brutish, violent caveman streak involving beating people up and getting beaten up made me lol.

I believe Fight Club is my favorite movie of all time. I should probably get the blu-ray some time. And I believe it's based on a book, so I should probably read it some time, too.
One more kid who'll dogmatically believe and take into account the faulty and frankly absurd philosophies of a fictional character named Tyler Durden; which is fantastic!
I just finished reading the novel and I watched the movie right after. The movie has subtle differences from the book, and some scenes that weren't in the book at all (like when the bar owner comes down and starts yelling at them). It seriously made me want to get in a fight, since I never have been in one. It also shines a light on the darker side of all men. My favorite part was when the spacemonkeys task was to pick fights for no reason on the street. There was a ton of dark humor in that scene as well as throughout the movie. I was also surprised that it was Chuck Palahniuk's first book, and it actually began as a 7 page short story, which is chapter 6 in the book.
I assume you're referring to me, and I never said I agreed with Tyler's ideology. I found him a very interesting character, but I very much disagree with his views. I mean, I found Hitler to be a fascinating character in Der Untergang (or Downfall in english), that doesn't mean I agree with HitlerOne more kid who'll dogmatically believe and take into account the faulty and frankly absurd philosophies of a fictional character named Tyler Durden; which is fantastic!

Fight Club is my favourite film of all time, and also one of my favourite books. I can watch that film over and over and get something new from it every time.

Alright sir!!
Yeah you should. It is only 200 pages long. It probably takes close to the same amount of time to read the book as watch the movie.I believe Fight Club is my favorite movie of all time. I enjoyed the movie, but I don't think it is as good as everyone says it is. LZ71Nice sig. I just watched it for the first time a few weeks ago.
i think the movie gets way more credit than it actually deserves while it owes everything to the book.

I get the feeling that deep down in your heart you want to be a troll. You just don't know how to do it.I don't think I asked you! I'm staying out of moderation lists unlike some users haha :>
it's a real good movie but not in my top 10 movies of all time.
BTW, I just seen Shutter Island - I loved it.
To those that called it overrated, I don't think its overrated at all. I studied Fight Club in a film class, and I think the movie is close to a masterpiece. At least my teacher certainly thought it was. It is just so well constructed, paced, directed, edited (little hints at Norton's insanity throughout the film), etc, and it all leads to that final twist that is simply perfect.
It does get pretty silly at times, but I think Fight Club is the real deal. One of the best American films of the last 20 years.
It's pretty good. I watched it maybe 6-8 weeks ago for the first time. I wouldn't rank it in my top 10 movies of all time though, it's maybe top 20. The twist is pretty solid and very interesting, however I think the movie as a whole starts out strong and tapers off towards the end. The other thing is that it doesn't always get the full point across. I've seen several people in this thread talking about wanting to get into a fight after seeing the movie, which was not the goal. I see hardly anyone discussing Tyler's moral ideals so...you can see that the movie did not reach full potential in that area.
