IMO you´re too young to begin working out. Although I begun at the age of 13... I do not recommend starting this early. But if it can´t be helped... How long have you been working out, because you got to have patience before the results reveal themselves.

Keep at it. You won't see results for weeks or maybe months.

The best to do on your age is use a bike to go to school, play outside with friends, join a sportclub (like Football, Baseball, Soccer whatever). I think lifting weights is not good on your age, just get some daily movement and you will notice a difference.

You need to increase weights or reps every so often. You also need to be consistent with your routine (you can't lift once or twice a week and expect to get huge). If you don't eat a lot, you might want to increase your protein intake as well.

You have to keep working out. You're not about to get immediate results with weight lifting. It's not like you'll turn into Arnold Schwarzenegger after a single rep.

Yeah, they say six weeks MINIMUM to see small results, so give it at least 2-3 months.

Make sure you have the technique down. After a week or two, increase the weight, little by little. For sit-ups, try different kinds of sit-ups. There are many different variations. Find 5 variations and do 2 sets of 10 on each. It will come eventually.

Well i wouldnt do to much at your age, you will stunt ur growth but as i have posted it sounds like your not eating enough protien, after a workout you should feel your muscles and they should feel stretched, then all you have to do is eat loads of protien, fish, eggs, milk, beans, red meat and anything else with protien. And finnally cut down on the crap like sweets and crisps etc. Good luck :)

Make sure you're doing it properly. Light weights and loads of reps give you tone, heavy weights and only a few reps build muscle. DO NOT use weights too heavy for you - you may damage your back. And yeah, you are a bit young. DO NOT EVER use steroids either. Never. Naturally work out or not at all. I weigh 12.5 St (180~lbs) and don't do fack all (fyi I'm not a lard arse lol), so you may grow up being quite large anyway. Just wait and see matey. Still keep fit though. Go for a run or cycle or a swim, that way you'll be in the right frame of mind when you're old enough to work out.

Why do you need to be strong? What are you, a cave man? Do you need to look and feel superior? If you actually needed big muscles, then you'd have them. Notice how the average joe in the office is small, while the average joe you see working in construction or metal work will have big arms? That's because their daily tasks have them using their strength, and so their body adapts. If picking up a pencil or carrying books required a lot of strength, then you'd have big muscles. Stop thinking primitive.

So basically your saying its stupid to work out and stay in shape? Its people with your attitude that grow up to weigh 500 pounds. But hey, whatever floats your boat.

Anyway, to the topic creator, There isn't really anything I can add that hasn't been said. Dont be so impatient, also if your lifting every day, then your muscle wont grow as fast. Lifting weights and working out tares the muscles, thats why they ache, and once they rest (like a day or two) then they have time to heal, which makes them bigger. But if you work out every day, then your muscles dont have time to heal, and therefor wont grow as fast. Also eat a lot of meat. Steaks, ribs, etc. Stuff with a lot of protein. Its a natural steroid if you will.

Other than that, just keep working hard, all good things take time. It took me 7 years of working out heavily to get to where I am today. So just be patient, it wont happen over night.

You do know that working out doesn't just give you big muscles right? It also makes you healthier, gives you more energy for your day and it's proven to reduce stress and depression. Working out doesn't always meaning going for big muscles, it depends on what you do, your end result could be lose of weight, a more toned body, better stamina and yes big muscles. Know what your talking about before you make stupid comments.

You're too young for supplements I'd say, but just stick to reps. Once you notice some strength, advance the wieghts, it's hard at first, but that's how you build muscle.
