Excellent work, I'm a big fan. You could sell for $30.
edit: my initial appraisal seems a little ridiculous, 30 is closer to legitimate.

I still mourn the loss of Companion Cube.

It escaped from the incinerator, remember?
Why was this information withheld from me?Its not. When you beat the game, just before the credits, there is some Cake, a lot of GLaDOS spheres, and the Companion Cube is there...you don't remember that? Probably should have used a spoiler tag, oh well.

That was Companion Cube 2. Companion Cube can never be replaced, never.

I still mourn the loss of Companion Cube.

That was Companion Cube 2. Companion Cube can never be replaced, never. That the cube survived/escaped is the only logical possibility. You know why?
"I could not stop for death, so he kindly stopped for me. The cube had food, and maybe ammo. And immortality." In addition, GLaDOS is a liar. Therefore, it makes sense that the Companion Cube survived and got to the party.

Nice, dude. Thanks. Spoiler warning would have helped.

Not really. It doesn't reveal any plot points, and it is highly debatable whether it is the original companion cube or a second.

It's not a matter of whether the Cube survived or not. That level was a clever metaphor for the never-ending struggle between God and the Devil. Chell (humanity) is convinced by GLaDOS (the devil) that the Cube (God) must be incinerated in order to advance to the next test-chamber (heaven). It may or may not also contain several references to Les Miserables. That the cube survived/escaped is the only logical possibility. You know why?

Hm, you got me there. I have a counter-argument, but it is a bit stupid. I'm gonna try it anyway.
God is supposedly an omnipresent eternal being. If the Cube is a representation of God, then by definition of God, it cannot be destroyed.

Clearly VALVe are not talking about the monotheistic interpretation of God. Clearly they're talking about many Gods, a pantheon, even. How do I know this? Well, considering the amount of weighted cubes just sitting around... The weighted companion cube was only a companion to distinguish itself from the rest.If anything, we should be worried about the fate of the other cubes. What happened when
Aperture blew up? Were they all killed in the explosion?
It may or may not also contain several references to Les Miserables. I don't think so at all. Gladys or however you spell her name represents all that wishes to oppress us. What's interesting is that opposition can be either society (as we are escaping from a laboratory here) or merely survival itself, since it feels like an escape from this weird sterile jungle the whole time anyway. No, it's not about God at all, it's about never giving up. And the cube fits into this. In the end, you will be ripped away from everything; the rewards promised you will be denied (precious cake), and you will be faced with the possibility of giving up or surviving despite bleak circumstances, simply trying to get through today. And what happens? You triumph of course, where everyone else has failed, and what do you get for this? The evil is not destroyed, not at all, but you see some green and hear some birds and that makes going to hell and back again worth it.That the cube survived/escaped is the only logical possibility. You know why?

Glitchspot is making it difficult to post my response. Anyway. If it wasn't a monotheistic interpretation, why would there be only one Companion Cube? As far as the other ones, they are probably (insert Portal's Credits Song here). BrmarlinThe Companion Cube is a clever way of just focusing on the life and untimely death of one weighted cube and still acknowledging the existence of others, without demeaning their role in this GODFORSAKEN DYSTOPIAN SOCIETY.
I feel stupid for arguing something I'm not being serious about.
