Just open up word. There should be a list of your recent documents under the file tab.SmashBrosLegend
I have already thought of that, but it wasn't there. :(
It's trying to save to My Documents, but my report that I was typing isn't there.Mrniceguy_War
I'd say it has to be there somewhere. Okay, click search, then "documents". Now click "use advanced search options". Then in the field under "A word or phrase in the document:" this of a word or phrase that was unique to the paper you were writing and put it in that field. Now try searching again.
If you just opened it from your browser instead of saving it then opening it, it's probably in a temp folder somewhere or in your browser's cache.sca321
I'm thinking of something like that, but idk where to look.
[QUOTE="Thechaninator"]I just deleted half my report I had been working on all night thanks to God forsaken key shortcuts!
WHO IN THE **** NEEDS A SHORTCUT TO GO TO HALF THE DOCUMENT AND KILL IT SERIOUSLY WHAT IN THE ******** HELL!!!!Eddie5vs1
can't you just clink "undo"?
No.
I had to write it in my **** e-mail because other people needed the family comp and my laptop DOESN'T HAVE WORD ON IT!!!
Seriously, I am ready to kill someone. Whoever put in those God Damn Shortcuts needs to be tortured and wiped from existence.
So ummm, here's a bright idea I thought of. Go back to your e-mail and click the attachment again?TongHua
Uhm no b/c that is only the first half of the report before I finished typing it.

DId you try it? If you don't specify a new save location it saves over the file in the email. I've done that before.
Yes that might work, i am using firefox. So all I have to do is get a cache viewer plug-in and look throught it?
*Edit* Holy **** there are alot of files there!!!! It might take til tommorow to find it!

I don't know if it could be saved there once you wrote more though. And depending on how much space is allocated for the cache it might have gotten overwritten by more recent web browsing. It's worth a shot though.
Yes, when I open the attachment again and click save as, it tries to save to a folder called Temp. I looked all thruogh there but couldn't find it. It should be there though, I am doing a file search in that window now, but it is taking forever.Mrniceguy_War
Do not save it to the temp file, if your using a computer lab, it will just be deleted when you log off. Either save it to a flash drive, or just save it to the desktop and move it to my documents.
Awww!! **** Right!!! There was 1 file that showed up in the search, I opened it, but it was just some weird web page that I had never seen before, but when I exited out, there was my beautiful report right in front of my eyes!!!!
