Why is the US in a bad economy ? cant they just MAKE MORE MONEY ! did they run out of paper or something ?

Money has no inherent value. A dollar is not a thing. The value of the money you have is basically determined by (among other things) how much you have of the total amount of money in circulation. If everyone made twice as much money, they wouldn't suddenly be twice as rich; everything would just cost twice as much and you'd be back to square one.

Yeah I keep wondering why the recession is still going on...I mean, it's a human made problem; humans have the control over money and society; why can't they just fix it? It's not like a natural disaster like an earthquake or anything, this is caused by humans.

Printing more money does not solve a core economic problem. It can cause inflation, and make it worse.

more money being printed wont help, in fact things will get worse when eveything is inflated. money needs to have a value behind it to be worth anythingmonkeyd_93

The easiest way to put it is that the banks got greedy and wanted to take away everyones money when really they didn't have the money in the first place. Then the people handed over their assets and the banks were beaten at their own game. That's why loans in countries like Australia you need guidelines that say you are able to pay back the loan and that you're a low risk of going bankrupt.

Basically if the banks go bankrupt everybody's f***ed. That's why your country needs strict codes and regulations or this won't be the last time this happens.
