Me and a couple of friends are going to a haunted walkthrough/hayride this Friday night and want to watch a scary movie when we get home. Any suggestions on a scary movie? Something that doesn't rely on blood and gore to be scary, but actual scares.

I hear [Rec] was good. It's the original Quarantine.

Edit: So you don't think I'm also recommending Quarantine. Though that wasn't bad.

Nosferatu (1922) is really, really, really creepy and doesn't have any blood.

REC is brilliant.

Why do people keep calling it the Spanish version? I know its in Spanish, but its the original version as well.

I am a bit ofA horror movie fiend and I have seen countless of them.

The scariest horror film I have ever seen is the original Thai version of "Shutter". (Dear GOD do not get the American version). You should be able to find a copy somewhere (its a 2004 movie and it is frikken excellent).

Yeah, I know that. It just sounds like people are refering to it as the 2nd version.

Saying its the Spanish version is like saying a circle is round. Its just too obvious.

The Shiningone_plum

This! Also the original Halloween by John Carpenter, lot's of suspense but not that much blood/gore. Also check out The Exorcist, Those are probably the best if you don't want much blood and gore. I'd also recommend Nosferatu if you have the patience for a silent film from 1922, definitely an awesome movie.

I suggest going to see Paranormal Activity. Heard many good things, particularly in the FAU, about it.

Alfred Hitchcock. Psycho, Rear Window, The Man Who Knew Too Much. All classic thrillers.

Watch Trick 'r Treat. I just watched it. It's not scary, but it's a lot of fun. It would be a blast to watch with some friends.

Halloween, Friday the 13th, Silent Hill are some good ones. Watch the new movie that just came out on DVD "The Last House On The Left".
