i highly recommend "The Third Policeman" by Flann O'Brien. other favorites are "The Stranger" by Albert Camus, orwell's "1984". "A People's History of the United States" by howard zinn is also great if you're looking for non-fiction.

Interstellar Pig is great for sci-fi junkies. It's a real thriller.

Agatha Christie's And Then There Were None is an interesting read centered on ten guests, each guilty of a different crime. Their mysterious host doesn't appear for the party. They must solve the mystery for their hidden host is one-by-one knocking them off.

Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy series, up to the third one anyways. Fourth is weird.... Tom Clancy's Net Force is really really good too.

To save myself a HUMONGOUS rant, I'll just say that you're wrong there.

But, I don't think there is much of what you're looking for in the non-fiction section.

i just dont find agatha cristhie or dickens exciting, i just read the autobiography of Malcolm X and that was good.
