I need anime recommendations.

I just finished (and loved) Code Geass and Full Metal Alchemist. Other anime I've really liked in the past are Death Note, Fruits Basket, Naruto (shut up; it's a cool show when it's not a filler), the Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya (God, I can't wait for the second season), and I had an on-off thing with Inuyasha for a while.

Anime I hate are Elfen Lied (storyless blood-and-gore bullcrap), Azumanga Daioh (nothing ever happens; two fifteen-minute segments in one episode are horrible), Yu Yu Hakusho (It started off REALLY good, then quickly turned into ****), Saiyonara Zetsubo Sensei (it makes no sense and the flashy stuff gives me a migraine), DragonBall Z (sorry, it got old after the 721st battle cry) and Shakugan No Shana (I just could not get into that at all).

I only watch dubbed anime, so. . .

Cowboy Bebop, Trigun, and maybe finish Inuyasha. Also, Yu Yu was awesome :xFreebird8877

Yu Yu began awesome. Something truly special.

Then it very rapidly devolved into mindless fighting and swearing with corny lines and cornier characters.

-Detroit Metal City (not dubbed, but it's really short. It's a Metal-culture-parody anime, hilarious stuff.)

As for comedy anime: I didn't much like Azumanga Daioh either. Check out Minami-ke and Ichigo Mashimaro; both are awesome imo.

why only watch dubbed anime? alot of dubbed anime are censroed and edited. reading subtitle is just a small inconvenience to get the full experience.

Anyways I recommend One Piece. If you can watch it subbed it would be great because imo it's the best manga/anime in history (sales and ratings support this) But the english dub by 4kids is a parody of it that's how bad the dub is.

i was reluctant to watch subbed anime as well but the benefit of being able to see unedited episodes as well as be further ahead in the story far outwieghs the inconvenience of reading subtitles and hearing japanese voices.

It just kills me when I'm watching dubbed but in my mind I know that the subbed anime is much farther ahead.

It really depends if you can overcome the language barrier. Personally idc what language it's in as long as I can understand it. since language is all relative.

It doesn't really feel like an anime anymore, but it is extremely funny.

I'd say watch Cowboy Bebop, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Baccano!, but they're all the standard for all that I say to people to watch if they haven't. I'd reccommend going to myanimelist.net and searching up titles on there.

I always advise everyone to watch those. If you like gore, you'll be pretty happy, since Alucard pretty much butchers everything he fights. He doesn't just fight them, he lets them think they're winning, and then when they're trying to stomp him down, he regenerates, and just straight up ruins their ****.

Lucky Star, duh. Lucky Star is awesome. Do not be dissin Lucky Star.

Watch Mushishi or Mononoke.

They're both the same sort of concept, but Mushishi is more straightforward than Mononoke.

I've seen Mononoke, and was okay with it. Miyazaki's made much better films.

Utawarerumono-good anime with a name I would never be able to pronounce. Most of it is based in a fantasy(people have animal ears) feudal Japan setting.

Pumpkin Scissors- Anime following a post war recovery military group trying to fix the country. Though for a Peace core they get into allot of fights.

Kurokami the animation- is an on going(is being released in eng dub at same time as original *** airing :)) anime revolving around Tera guardians and their human partners who try to maintain the balance of the world. One warning is make sure to watch after the credits for hidden video.

Also the Hellsing anime and especialyovas( not all the ova are dubbed yet) are great vampire anime. The OVA are much better than the anime(diverges from source material half way through), but the anime is still worth seeing.
