so i was living in florida and i have family in colorado. i hadnt seen them for 13 years, then i took a 2 month trip and liked it there for the time i was there. i wasnt doing anything in florida but going job to job so i said i will try colorado. i have been here for 7 months and it sucks, i live in this crap little town called pagosa springs, that is literally 3 miles wide, i dont do anything but work and them come home, eat dinner and sleep. i dont go to school or anything so it is impossible to make any friends and all my friends are back in florida, so i decided to move back, but i cant seem to find the words i need to tell my dad that i want to go back. we just did huning licenses and everything, and i havent seen him in 13 years so it is going to be so hard, and is going to devestate him, how can i tell him gently, or should i just say hey im moving back. i really need some advice.
Sit down and talk with him like an adult would, tell him how you feel and why you feel the way you do and then go from there. Let him know it is not because of him, that you love him, but that you are lonely in a way that he can't provide for and want to go back to where you were more happy overall. Ask him to move back with you, that way you can have him, and be around an area you enjoy. Never know until you take the time to communicate:)
The best thing to do is be honest and upfront. Let your dad know that its not because of him. You don't like small town life and you miss your friends.
