Yea, don't buy one. It's just a waste of money.
I concur with both of these guys

I would, but the class I'll be taking is every day from 8am to 5pm plus homework. It's about 16 hours per day in the studio.

Every day of the week, weekends included? No class on weekends but they give you enough homework to make sure you're busy. It's a 10 credit-hour class.

So busy you have time to get on Gamespot? :P If you manage your time I find it unlikely that you are unable to get in something like 10 hours of work per weekend. If you truly do want an iPad then you'd find time for it. I am not saying I recommend this course of action however. To work to pay the bills is one thing, to work to pay for an iPad is another.A guy I know makes around 500$ a day scamming people on the net with fake craiglist's ads and the like.
As someone who lives very cheap, I can attest that there are numerous ways to save money. Start by starving yourself. Less food means more money in your pocket. Also give up driving. No car = no annoying gas/insurance/repair bills. Finally, try to develop an intense dislike of family and friends. This will save you money on gifts and presents on those annoying birthdays and holidays that always seem to pop up. >.>Allicrombie
This post is full of win. :)

It's a little bit slimmer compared to the original Ipad
Is it really.. great, now I have to buy one. >.>As someone who lives very cheap, I can attest that there are numerous ways to save money. Start by starving yourself. You just described my late teens/early 20s
Yeah, reading, web browsing, music, a few games here and there, video conferencing, and whatever else those wacky developers come up with for the app store.

They're great for drawing quick sketches or jotting down an idea and I can use it as a second display for when I'm doing CAD renderings on my computer.

There, everyone has their answer. At least you have legitimate reasons for wanting one. :P[QUOTE="UCF_Knight"]For OT's curiosity, why is an Ipad 2 an absolute must have anyway?Joshywaa

to be fair they really did enhance the hardware of the Ipad 2.[QUOTE="Joshywaa"][QUOTE="UCF_Knight"]For OT's curiosity, why is an Ipad 2 an absolute must have anyway?Serraph105

Why an iPad 2 over any other tablet that give you more for your money, though?

I'm not really into Android all that much. I'm a huge fan of the work Jony Ive has done at Apple in simplifying his designs. Plus, with an iPad, you know that any app you get will work as it should on the device because it's all made for one screen size and button (or lack thereof) configuration.
most places are on a waiting list for like a month to egt the iPad 2's in, so you got a little bit of time before you need to come up with $1000 or however much they cost.
