anyone who buys one of these is a fool. what is it, $500-600? plus you have to commit to at&t? those things look so fragile. doesn't apple realize how people treat their cell phones? i drop mine daily. plus, they're usually kept in pockets/purses. that'll wreak havoc on the screen.romocop33

Its not a bad idea to wait for an iPhone if you like earning huge profits from selling the iPhone on eBay. I think its a smart thing to do considdering an iPhone will probably fetch $1500 to $2000 on eBay in the first few hours.tequilasunriser

Well, why buy anything new? Why spend thousands of dollars on a fast gaming PC when it's just going to be outdated in 6 months?

Obviously, for some people, paying $500 is WORTH not having to wait. And when a cheaper, better iphone is released in a year, they'll buy the new one too. And they will be perfectly satisfied, because they got to have the iphone a year "early" and it only cost them $500.

Honestly, I was going to get one. The only reason I didn't is because I'd have to sign a two year contract.

That's it. If it wasn't for that one thing, I'd have an iphone right now.

Yeah, like my iPod screen isn't already a little scratched...and I always keep it in the crappy case that comes with it. And I'm not paying $30 for a better case. That's just a freaking joke. Anyway, as I've said before, where is the GPS map function on this thing? And it doesn't even use the faster wireless internet protocol? For that much money? And when you actually use it as a phone, isn't the screen going to get all icky? (Thank you for that one, Hotspot crew.)

Now for a long time I've been waiting for someone to make a solid PDA / music player / net access device with a nice chunk of storage space, and while this is a nice effort, it doesn't quite hit the mark for me.

WIFI is fast EDGE is slower but way faster than it used to be and i dont know what you mean by expensive you pick a plan that is surprisingly affordable and it has unlimited data which web browsing until youre hearts content, and btw whoever said the psp can do everything the iphone can do just doesnt know anything about the iphone ( or the psp i guess).
