Yesterday, around 4AM,I was standing outside with 2 of my friends. We were looking at the skies and I saw this bright light, far away.
I asked what it was,and my buddy replied: It's a plane, but the lit object wasn't moving.
Suddenly it "expanded",shall I say...It looked like fireworks, but it was really far away.
Like this, although the center was more lit...It was a bright white light.
f

It couldn't be fireworks,it was too far away and way up high in the sky.
Does anyone know what it could've been?

I can only imagine it being fireworks. Unless of course it's Bridget the Flying White Orb.

Not sure. I heard a similiar story from my friend's dad when they were hunting in west Texas. He was with his brother and they saw a round light expand in front of their eyes in the sky, and then it shrunk. He looked over at his brother John and said, "Did you just see that?" He replied, "Yes." Billy, my friend's dad, replied "Lets not tell anyone we just saw that." so people wouldn't think that they were crazy. XD

Maybe it was the light from a star that exploded (or whatever they do) from years and years ago.

I don't think so. If we saw a supernova, it would be a period of years seeing the light from it, and then it would dessipate.

Maybe it was an unimportant satellite that no one really cares about.

I really really doubt it.It was way to high up in the sky,you saw that it came from outer space.

Atmospheric refration? it's far away but due to the atmosphere 'bending' light it creates the illusioin of objects being closer than they are.

I saws a real UFO once. I was on the lake of the ozarks, and there was this metal blob kind of hovering high in the sky. It kind looked like the stuff that gooey terminator guy was. It was crazy because it just dissapeared.

Wikipedia says a period of months and weeks, but either way, you're right, it's not that.
