I'm currently 16 and I still have a couple baby teeth. I haven't thought about it much because I started losing my teeth late (I think I started when I was 9 or 10?) but it's starting to worry me. Is it normal for somebody my age to have a couple of baby teeth left?

I don't know. Don't worry about it and ask your dentist next time you visit :)

I am 27 and still have a baby tooth because I don't have a regular tooth growing underneath it. I lost all my other baby teeth before I was 13, though

Last time I lost a tooth I was around 13 as well.

Also everytime I ask my dentist she says I should just wait.

Not sure how normal it is. I don't think much older people have their baby teeth left hence it being called baby teeth. Me I actually have one baby tooth left in the back of my mouth. It actually made one of my other teeth grow a bit crooked. So I have a row of straight teeth with one crooked one. I can get braces, but it doesn't bother me enough to care.

Also I would go to the dentist and ask how it would effect the growth of your permanent teeth.

Sometimes the other tooth just doesn't grow. I'm 22 and still have a baby tooth. I don't know how common two baby teeth are, but I know it's common for adults to have at least one. I wouldn't worry about it.

If its the molars (back teeth) you are talking about, it isn't that uncommon.

It's the canines.

You should just go to the dentist and get some x rays etc. I don't think your permanent canines are going to grow in seeing as how they haven't done so yet

Yeah, sometimes baby teeth stay longer than expected. Atleast you didn't have to go through what I did though (Baby tooth wouldn't go away, so tooth grew behind it. I got the baby tooth removed, and now the tooth looks like a mess..)

I don't have braces either :P. I probably need them, but they would be a bit embarrassing going into college..And by a bit, I mean very embarrassing..

I knew a guy who drank so much milk as a kid that he still had all his baby teeth because the calcium rooted them in ridiculously tight. Just ask your dentist next time you have an appointment.

I'm 16 and one of my baby teeth is still in my mouth and it's also a canine tooth. I just have the adult tooth growing over top of it. I actually lost the other canine about a year ago, it was the same situation and it's fine. The adult tooth just pushed the baby tooth right out.

Why do people place a question mark on a sentance that clearly isn't a question? :?

Don't worry too much about it. I think the last time I lost a tooth I was 15 or so. Check with your dentist, however. EDIT: Also I remember I lost a tooth and the other tooth didn't grow in under it until I was 16, nearly 17 I think.

Start punching yourself in the jaw and knock them out. Then, you won't have to worry about them anymore :)
