Can you say? Biggest Loser?ViVaLaMaTT
Fad diets never work... that is why they are called fads.
You want to lost weight? The two keys to losing weight and being healthy:
Proper diet and exercise.
Proper diet: Watch your calorie intake, do not eat more you can burn off. This is the major cause of weight gain. The best kind of diet is low in saturated and trans fats, refined sugar and salt. This means avoiding those "treats" that everyone likes. It may make you feel bad you do not get to snack on your favourite chips or candy, put it will pay off in the end.
A proper breakfast is the key to losing weight and being healthy. It has to be high in complex carbohydrates and fruits with high levels of vitamin C and B12. Usually a simple whole grain cereal with added "nutritional" elements fulfills the first aspect. A piece of fruit like an orange or a glass of orange juice will give you a load of vitamin C. The brand "Tropicana Pure Squeezed" gives 120% of your daily recommended intake in one 250mL glass.
For lunch, something simple like fruit, vegetables and a sandwich should be fine. For dinner, a balanced meal that contains elements from all food groups is best.
The best way to choose foods is to choose light foods. They are usually better for you and make you feel better after eating.
Now exercise. You do not need to jog or run or do anything straining. Walking or simple calisthenics is all you need. You just need to get your heart rate up and be able to burn off some calories.
SNACKING IS YOUR BIGGEST ENEMY! AVOID IT AT ALL COSTS!
If you cannot avoid snacking, just snack on some vegetables or dried fruit or nuts. You can even brush your teeth which helps to take away the craving for food.
I have lost over 20 lbs and MANY extra "spare tires" in about 6 months following this routine. I am looking a ton better and feeling much better about myself. No fad diet, no fad exercises. Just simple diet control and exercise.
Plus, if you are able to fit it in, sweets and treats are always allowed, you just have to keep them small. I like high % cocoa chocolate, it gives me that endorphin rush I am addicted to.
My new year's resolution is to get a girlfriend and a good paying job.
Liposuction? Then To the gym to become fit.ViVaLaMaTTI hate going to the gym, it's liked canned exercise. I prefer to go into physical activities where the exercise is secondary, playing a sport is always good. I have some weight to loose as well, changing a few things around helps as well as calorie watching and drinking lots of water.
My dad did the Dr. Bernstein diet. He lost over 20 pounds in the last couple of months. Luckily for me i have zero weight issues (which for working out, doesn't help... hello supplements weight gain).
But good for you. The older you get the more you realize you have to do things that are positive for your body. Awesome first step.
