I think i just encounterd some sort of demon spider.

So im here just chilling, surfing on the net etc and of course typically on a hot, late night australia; i see this brown ugly spider stroll out from under the desk. I'm petrified of spiders, so i decide to attack from a distance with a large, heavy book. I slammed it down on the sucker and left the book on top of it. I lifted the book up, but nothing was there. A few minutes later it reappears again the middle of the room. This time i get the two largest books near me. I hurled one of them at the spider, and no joke, it literally BOUNCED off it and the SOB kept bolting around the room! Finally, i cornered it, two huge books in both hands, i was certain there was no escape. I chucked one of the books and hit it nicely, immobilizing it. I could see it struggling to walk, two of its legs were screwed up. I then went right above and dropped the other book on it crushing it. I then proceeded to stomp on the book to make sure it was dead. I was certain it would be, it had to be. I lifted up the book and there was no sign of a dead spider. No blood, no guts, nothing! It can't have escape, it was barely able to move! WTF? I searched all over the room and no sign of it...I am seriously freaked out. :S
