So my friend's friend was recently diagnosed with Leukemia. And my friend... she had one of the symptoms of Leukemia (easy bruising) so she went to the doctor to ask him about it. The doctor said it's a possibility but nothing can be said until they run some tests. So she was talking to me about it today, so I decided to do some research on symptoms of leukemia. I listed off all the symptoms and ask her about it, and she had ALL the symptoms. Then she started getting freaked out, and was basically in total shock. But I told her that it's nothing to worry a bout... I mean even if she was diagnosed she's still in the early stages of it and it can be treated easily. Although I don't know that for a fact I was just BSing to make her feel better. What would you do in a situation like that? I seriously did not want to be the one to tell her she probably might have Leukemia.

i think its best to leave it to a doctor to diagnose cancer :|

When you ask people questions about symptoms from reading something like that everybody always has the symptoms...not in reality but for some reason you convince yourself for that very moment that you do....so they get freaked out for no reason....

Yeah never try to diagnose yourself just by reading the symptoms on a website or book or anything.....you will convince yourself you have that and start feeling really weird, the mind is so strong.

It sounds like that the doctors are diagnosing it in the early stages. That really increases her survival chance. My barber was diagnosed with Leukemia 14 years ago. He's still going strong.

Good Luck!

I know that! That's why I didn't tell her "These are all the symptoms of Leukemia." I was just asking her questions casually in a normal conversation. She had no idea these were the symptoms for it, until later on I told her.
