I think my friend stole my mp3 player

Ok right now hes the best friend in the class I am in. So yesterday I left my mp3 player (Creative Zen Vision: M) for 4 hours under the desk. I thought I had it with me all along so when I tried to fish it up from my pocket to listen I could not find it (yea, I know stupid me).

So I went back to the lecture hall to search for it and it was gone. Ok so thats the backstory.

Anyway when I found out it was missing I called him to ask if he had seen it (he was sitting next to me). He said no, but there were some people who came in and played with the whiteboard after the class ended, so maybe the someone in the next class took it. Then I told him that there was NO class after ours which used the lecture hall ( I had already asked the security guard). Then, hours later when I called him, he completely denied that he told me people were playing with the whiteboard after we were gone. Ok, so this is quite weird but it gets more suspcious.

He also told me that when he went to retrieve his files from under the desk, there was a divider between his desk underspace and mine so he did not see my player. Well, when I went to check today there IS NO divider between his desk underspace and mine.

So today he did not come to school and has been avoiding me and not replying my calls. I asked one of my friends to prank call him and he did pick up, so he is definitely avoiding me.

Ok so right now I only have circumstantial evidence, and I do not want him being the thief to be true. What should I do???

1. Follow him after school

2. Calmly cut his Achilles Tendon in two

3. Ask him

id just ask him if he knew anything about it and see if he reacts funny, or just try and find out if he has it

if you accuse him with no evidence (or cut his achilles) you can kiss your friendship goodbye

Next time you go to the class with him, reenact the exact same scenario, but this time with a cell phone with the ringer set to a crazy man screaming **** I STOLE YOUR MP3 PLAYER!" Then, after class, call the phone...the crazy man will clear everything up.Mumbles527

iif he steals your sh** and doesn't even admit it then he's the one who is risking the friendship and doesn't care whether it will end or not...so get your mp3 player back at all costs....if you know for sure that he has it and he still wont give it back...call the cops or kick his ass...if he's doing all that avoiding and lying for an mp3 player which seems to be worth more to him than your friendship, then he's not good enough for you...you don't have to take crap from anybody if you have the proof..unless he has a gun
