So, just recently we went to an airshow to see old fashioned planes because I wanted to be a pilot. So, when we got there I was so excited to see all the planes and I told my mom and my dad that I was going to save up some money to fly in a B-17 Sentimental. Since its $400 dollars a person it isnt to pricey for being since its a once in a life time experience. As I told my mom this she told me in a whisper almost so I couldn't hear that she wasn't going to be here next year. I also always hear her talking about that every one else in are family has cancer and she would say "cancer is in style". My mom would also say how she wished she had me 10 years earlier. Then again, shes 58 years old so I see her point and Im only 16. It really does suck since I dont know if she will see me graduate. She also is retiringnext year so I would be a junior. Then again, she never really told me that she had cancer but im 80% sure she does. And it would seem odd to go up to her and ask her because maybe she wants to live a happy life without us knowing. I also remember her going to regular check ups each year and sometimes twice a year.

I guess the only way you could know is if you asked. Maybe you could ask your dad? Good luck, that is too bad about your mom. Hopefully it turns out all right.

The only way to know for sure is by asking.

You should ask, she might just tell you if she does or not, won't hurt asking

With those kind of hints, it sounds almost like she wants to tell you. Maybe she is worried it will upset you. If it is bothering you, it would be best to confront her about it. But, I wouldnt be too forward. Just ask her if everything is okay...I just found out that my friend's mom died this morning...How he showed up for class is beyond me.

I'm sorry TC. It is poddible that she doesn't have cancer. She could just be worried because it runs in the family. I wish you and your mom the very best.

Dude, I hope your mother truly doesn't get cancer. That's all I have to say.

Man, I don't know how I would cope if I was in your position. I'd be too scared to find out by asking, and not being sure would be just as bad. All I can say is good luck to you and your mom.

If you want to know, ask. Don't jump to conclusions.

The doctor wouldn't tell him if he/she's a good doctor.

It may be best to ask her, my family has also suffered from cancer all through my mum's side of the family, many have died from it. I know my mum's worried that she and my sister may have it, and that I might as well since I'm much more like her in many ways than I am my dad.

Cancer can be random though, sometimes it will go into remission, sometimes it will get so bad in such a short time, sometimes it takes a while. Either way, it's horrible. And scary.

I've been in your shoes. My parents tried to hide from me that my dad had cancer when I was 12. I figured out by listening in to their phone calls. Really, the best thing you can do is be open with her and ask.
