I was always "poor" and being someone who lives in Gaza, there are many unconventional stuff that are sold her for a lot of money because only few people look for them.

I have money now and decided to try blue cheese. I like it, but the resemblance between blue cheese and my feet is astonishing.

My question is how exactly you eat this stuff? Its really strong so I doubt you eat it with bread by itself.

blue cheese is too strong for my taste, and the thought of eating something thats essentially have mold on them isn't the most appealing in general.

Ive seen it being used in salads before, so maybe just with bread is a bit too much.

that stuff is so strong, there is no way to eat just with plain bread.

I've tried it a couple of times. IIRC, it had a really really strong taste, and somewhat dry and lacking in flavour for my type of cheese, and the smell wasn't very welcoming... I guess it targets a particular demographic? :P

Personally I never liked blue cheese uncooked. I found the best ways to enjoy blue cheese is to either bake mini wraps with blue cheese filling, or bake it on a proper pizza. Just don't talk to people after enjoying your onions + anchovies + blue cheese pizza.

Eww, seriously it's cheese with MOLD on it. That's nasty.

To stay on topic though; I believe one of the hamburgers in a Masterchef US episode had blue cheese in it. Inside the meat, that is.

get cream cheese, mix blue cheese through it and roll the mixture into small balls. Eat with a glass of nice wine, beutiful. You can also roll dates through it.

That is wierd that you just now tasted blue cheese because I just now have tried blue cheese dressing on a chef salad and thought it was a good combination salad+blue cheese. You ever had a chef's salad? Here in the states you can get chef's salads really cheap at the grocery store because I think they make them up for employees mostly.

I goes well with steak. It also tastes great mixed in with the meat for a burger. Blue cheese salad dressing is great for dipping buffalo wings in, in fact, it's delicious. Unfortunately I don't think you have buffalo wings and blue cheese dressing in Gaza:(

The best way to enjoy cheese (including blue cheese) is with other cheeses, crackers, bread, oils, a few bottles of red and some great friends.

Can't think of a more relaxed and chilled way to spend an evening.

Very true, but as the original question was "How do you eat the stuff?" thought I'd cover the main way I eat cheese (of all types). But yes great food and great people will always be a great combination.

Although in a none drinking format I like buying a block of Stilton and a loaf of bread and just eating bread and cheese while sitting outside.

build up a talking base about cheese, minutia is great for building contacts, it does not matter if you know pointless crap about cheese, sports, cars, or any other thing that most people like that most people dont care enough to understand the details. you only need to bit more knowledgeable than the next guy to impress.

but gaza's blue cheese is far better than our US blue cheese, as his cheese was made with milk that had not been pasteurized twice before.

Blue cheese is godly, and I'll eat it all by itself. I don't even need bread or crackers, I can just snack on plain blue cheese crumbles. That said, blue cheese is also really good on a salad. Blue cheese is also really good on a burger. A burger with blue cheese and bacon is amazing.

What I've never understood about cheeses like blue, is that why is it allowed to mould? Mould on other food makes it taste terrible, why does cheese get a free pass? That said, blue cheese integrated into sauces is quite good when used sparingly. I myself have a problem with mould flavor (bitten into some mouldy things too many times), so it doesn't normally appeal to me. And my GF is deathly allergic to the stuff, so I never eat it anymore.

personally, I love blue cheese. It is great if you leave it out so it gets nice and room temperature and soft, and you spread it on crackers.

It is also really good on salads:

mixed greens
toasted/candied pecans
blue cheese crumbles
pomegranate seeds
lemon-olive oil dressing

I can understand why some might not like blue cheese, it is pretty strong. I strongly suggest you stay the heck away from gorgonzola! That is some stroooooong stuff too.

I love blue cheese and can eat it with just about anything.

BTW: the mold used in blue cheese is the same mold that penicillin is derived from. So eating it isn't really a big deal.

Sure you can have it on bread though you'ld need something like Saint Agur, stilton is way too crumbly for that and so is better with crackers

I have abundance of red meat right now, with Eid and all. I have many great thick red meat cuts, so how do I make this? Just grill it with the meat or put it after cooking the meat?

Get the grill as hot as humanly possible, form a patty out of the blue cheese, cook the steak to your preference, make sure you flip it only once (unless it's a strip steak, in which case 3 times is acceptable), and put the blue cheese on top just before you're done cooking (long enough to let it start to melt).
