I like i tunes a lot better because the format and layout of everything is a whole lot easier to use. I also like i tunes because you can easily drag and drop songs to sync automatically!

I use winamp >_>

But I used iTunes before, and it was really similar to Winamp and is pretty good

Only bad part is that it forces you to download quicktime with it

iTunes is very nice to use, especially now I have an iPod, but it uses alot of RAM, it needs to be cut down and optimised IMO

WMP, but I use VLC far more than I use anything else. It doesn't have a very pretty interface but I've yet to run into any type of media that it hasn't had the proper codec to play.

Winamp is still around? I used that 8 years ago and I thought it disappeared  I need to check it out again.

Of the two I would take iTunes without a doubt, but I like MusicIP Mixer.

Win Amp. I tried Foobar 2000 but I couldn't figure out how to configure it properly and just gave up.

I like Windows because it doesn't take up much CPU, but I hate how it doesn't store libraries. On the other hand, I like how iTunes stores your libraries + let you control your iPod and what not, but I hate how it's like running Crysis in the background. My vote goes to other, winamp.

I used to prefer VLC player (on Windows) because it's CPU friendly and is loaded with all kinds of codecs.

But then they ****ed up the play list and I'm too lazy to download the source code and make the changes myself.

I like iTunes easy-to- use format, but i like Windows Media Player because you can use the music files to make movies with Movie Maker.

I use Winamp but WMP is better. iTunes feels lackluster and too 'maccy' for me. I like my advanced layout and it all just works.

I use Foobar2000 myself, but I don't mind using Windows Media Player when I open something that uses WMP by default. I also have VLC, but due to it being a horrendous media player I only use it when I encounter something my other programs don't support. WMP's RAM usage is a bit hefty, much more than VLC or Foobar, but it doesn't matter since 40MB is nothing.

Never used Itunes, i dont like apple much for some reason, i would much rather have a normal mp3 over an ipod, in the music industry apple seem to be taking over and for no good reason except good advertising. I dont like the sound of the way it eats your resources, what if you want to play a game while you're listening to music, but its already like you're running a game because of itunes o_0

itunes runs $%&^ I don't want in the background, saw it in task manager, so I vote for WMP. Anyway WMP lets you drag and drop too. I like WMA over mp3 anyway, evn though they are both compressed one takes up less room on my PSP.

It doesn't get any more organized than iTunes, but it is a huge memory waster. But...I stilll use it, because I have an iPod and I don't feel like messing around with other players.

Cool, I just got DFX plugin and it really helped the sound quality

But do you have to pay for it after using it for some time?

Having tried both, I'll say that they are both resource hogs and aren't really my cup of tea.

Foobar2000 is what I use. It's difficult to use at first, but once you get used to it, it's so easy to organize and tag songs. It also has a lot of customization features.
