depends where in california
If you want the best wheather in the world southern Cal is a great place to be its usually around 75 on most days. However, lots of people tend to like it out there and for good size home it would cost at least 1 million dollars. Yes, you can get homes for less than 1 million dollars out there but I wouldn't really want to live in them since they are small 1 floor houses that don't have an ocean view.
If you go to San Francisco it does tend to get much colder there than say San Diego.
Its a very desirable place to live but most cannot afford it and the ones that can do tend to own houses in places like this for obvious reasons. If you can afford it I say go for it, I have visited San Diego a couple of times and if I had a couple of million dollars on hand I would buy myself a nice home out there for probably about 3 to 4 million dollars.
I would like to study there.. cause my life seems to get closed then its fall winter and early part of spring.. How much does it cost to buy three chambers Aparatament there? Fele23
Depends on which part. California on a given day has about the hottest wheather (Death Valley) and the coldest wheather.

Study here? Undergrad? Grad School? You can always apply for scholarships and financial aids. Hm.. apartments here are quite expensive (depends on the place of course). Unless you're financially lucky, stay out of the big cities. Ie. LA, San Francisco and San Diego. I moved to Irvine (about a few minutes from Anaheim and about 1 hour from LA) from LA a few years ago and my friend and I are renting a one bedroom apartment. We're paying about 1500 bucks a month + utilities, which I think is not bad.
I suggest the city of Riverside if money is an issue, it is not a bad place and it's quite manageable to live there.
---two cents.
Up here in the Bay Area, San Francisco it does get cold in the winter, I even need to wear a sweater! I wish it was chilly and I also wish it would rain. I can't play my Xbox 360 because it keeps overheating from the heat(I don't have A/C) and I can't remember the last time it rained. It would be so refreshing if it rained, not just a light shower I mean a good rainstorm. Headbanger88
I'd settle for a light shower, it would be better if it rained of course. It was 95 degrees out there in the afternoon.

You get more rain than we do down in San Diego. We haven't had much rain since El Nino and we are in a drought.
it cost a fortune to live there because prices are really high plus if you get a job there you have to pay state and federal incometaxes so if you get a job you won't be making that muchmastershake575I don't know, I'm making quite a bit living here...

$1500 a month of a one bedroom. Yikes thats more than my monthly mortgage for my 1600sq ft house in Michigan, and I live two miles from the richest city in the state. California is nice but cost of living don't make it worth it for me. Also, I got this eye thing the last time I went to LA, bad air. Please Log In to post.
