I was just suspended for 20 days for the stupidest reason in the world.

First let me set the stage for you:

Swearing at a teacher: 3 day suspension

Fighting: 5 day suspension

Not getting an immunization needle: 20 days. 20 ****ING DAYS. 

That's right. I'm being suspended for 20 days (Yes, 20 ****ING DAYS.) because I never got a shot I never even heard of. This is by far the dumbest thing I've ever seen. What are they afraid of? Am I going to spread TEH AIDS I DON'T EVEN HAVE to the whole school?! Now I have to get a whole list of shots I've never heard of before the weekend is over if I want to go back to school. What are your thoughts on this? :cry:

Stores are closed for 4 days (Easter), and after 4 days, then I can CALL the doctor to make an appointment, then I have to wait for that appointment. Either way it's going to be a long wait until I get back to school. :| 

If all the kids who are there are immunized, what exactly are they afraid of?

The cynic in me wants to think there is some legislation pushed by a drug company involved here somewhere...

Well i do have AIDS and they let me in school and since they made that mistake i make it my job too spread my blood and mix with every human i can to ruin the population at my school.BloodLyfe

The shot isn't for AIDS... :lol: I was just exaggurating. It's just a list of shots for diseases I've never heard of.

lol almost the exact same thing happened to me. They didn't threaten to suspend me though, they said essentially "You have 10 days to get this shot or you can't come back to this school." so i got it on the 7th or so day and it turned out alright :Dpokeracc

I'm not saying what they are doing is right, but there is actual logic behind it.  Mostly, they make everybody get shots so you don't spread smallpox to everybody and other crazy diseases that are really rare BECAUSE of the whole "get shots or don't go to school" program.  There is a reason why a polio vaccine won't be on the list of shots you need dude.
