For the heck of it, ill give it a whirl, recommend me some Alternative with psychedelic/space rock influences...i.e Smashing Pumpkins, Sonic Youth, My Bloody Valintine, SSPU...ect

mexicangordo

Here you are good sir:D

Dungen

Darker my love

Dead meadow

galaxie 500

Eloy

Nektar

Oceansize

Far east family band

Chroma Key

Vespero

Omega

Dragontears

Nosound

No man

Seven that spells

heavy water experiments

Good list, i enjoy many of those bands (however some are debatable to psychedelic/space rock) But either way you win, there's two bands Ive never listened to or heard of, No Man, which i just checked out and sound awesome minus the guys vocals, and Heavy Water Experiments. Ill check em out as well.

You don't like Steven Wilson's vocals?!?! *shuns you*

Actually I can understand you not liking the other guy's vocals.... I don't either. :P

EDIT #2: Now that I think about it, Steven Wilson doesn't really sing in that band at all. :P You're no longer shunned.

Okay. How about some Progressive Death/Black Metal (that I haven't heard already :P).

And for the sake of being difficult: Funeral Doom, Technical Progressive Metal, and Depressive-Suicidal Black Metal.

Okay. How about some Progressive Death/Black Metal (that I haven't heard already :P).

And for the sake of being difficult: Funeral Doom, Technical Progressive Metal, and Depressive-Suicidal Black Metal.

Illnath, Anthelion, Valinor, Shape of Despair, Swallow the Sun, Nachtmystium, Black Countess, Pantheon I.

Well, if I didn't know all of them and they were in the genres I listed, maybe. :P

Shape of Despair was a good suggestion though.

You're genres were too hard to think of examples for :P

Well, I already like Sigh, Vintersorg, and Moonspell. I really don't like Isis and the majority of the post-metal fad though. Knew the rest except for 1980. I'll check 'em out! :)
