I just saw from Discovery channel that if a big comet is about to hit earth we don't have the technology now to stop it and will be very difficult to survive..

Do you care;;;

I'd want to watch it. That would be the coolest way to go out for an astronomer. Watching a big piece of cosmic awesomeness hurdling at you. Sign me up.

I was watching NOVA and you failed to mention the Super Volcano that will kill us al first.. So no the comet doesn't matter ..

define big.... because I saw a show which said that the comet could be nudged off it's trajectory to earth by the gravity of a spaceship or something.

The most likely solution would be attaching rockets to the surface and putting them on full burn to steer it off course.

If a big comet hits Earth, it hits Earth. There's not a thing you can do about it. So I wouldn't waste time worrying about it. Your chances of being alive when it happens are pretty slim.

Lol hahaha "cosmic awesomeness". I thought we'd be able to like shoot missiles and s*** at it and blow it up? Like before it gets close to hitting us of course.
