If a Zombie Infection happened....

If some sort of zombie infection happened and people all over the world started getting turned, how would you react to it? For how the zombies would act, just think of the infected from 28 Days Later.

As for the items you would have to help you survive, you can only use the things you actually have in your home right now. You would also be the only uninfected person inside of your city/town, so you can't group up with any other survivors.

Here's the situation: Your city/town is overrun with infected, you have locked yourself inside your home, but the infected are nearby and could try to break through at any moment. Any military forces are also either infected or dead, and there's no other uninfected town nearby that you can run to.

What do you do?

Possibility A- I have about 5 guns (2 rifles, 2 shotguns, a small pistol) and tons of ammo. I would go out and hold them up for a while. Then, I would bust into lowes and grab tons of gas tanks, hop in my car, fill up all gas tanks, and just drive as far and fast as i can, hopefully roadkilling some zombies. i would raid convient stores for food and stuff, and pull into a small ditch to sleep (in the car). I would just mess around forever.

Possibility B- I die from the zombies.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned running off to an island yet. That's always seemed like the best option when I think about this situation. If you live near the coast it would be pretty easy to find an abandoned boat and then just take it out to one of the larger islands in the ocean. You could live off of fruit and you wouldn't have to worry about zombies.LittleHands134

I would jack a UPS Truck from the Depot, load it up with survival supplies from my house (food, flashlight, weapons, the stuff), go into the sporting goods store armed with my crowbar to take care of infected, get a kyak and some guns and ammo, get back to the UPS truck, and go off into the wilderness ( I live in Oregon, so wilderness isn't that hard to find).

The idea of a mobile hideout just seems so much more appealing to me than cornering myself in a house.

You should watch Land of the dead, running to an island might not help.

[spoiler] At the end of the movie they escape to a seemingly deserted island where they believe they can remake a new life, but during the credits there are scenes where zombies appear on the island and basically slaughter all the survivors [/spoiler]
