Digimon, mainly because there was never a limit. The writers would throw another 20 or so random a** monsters in each episode. It had no structure, the just kept making more and more, and more. I don't even think there's an actual number of how many digimon there are. Its like over-inflation, thus its story fell apart.
Even though pokemon made sense with a set number, it would lose to sheer numbers. Sad.
Digimon digivolve into MEGA. And then there's that Omnimon (who was straight up badass) level.Digimon digivolve into champions! Digimon digivolve into ULTIMATE!
Yeah Digimon would pwn their asses since they don't worry about wussy stuff like what "type" they are, since they are all the same type... asskicking!

This is indeed odd...I've always hated digimon, even when i used to watch it, but then again...hm...
There was one person that made a good point, they can have all the digimon they want, but I'm still gonna say Pokemon since the weak pokemon are stronger than the weak digimon and the legendaries would wipe away those fully evolved digimon.
Digimon, they have digimon that are HUGE like a house! Imagine an attack it would cover the whole street:O
And digimon have guns :P
I don't really remember Digimon, but I think there were a ton of big ones, that could probably take down tons of Pokemon before they...dissolved?
Digimon would win.
Once they reach their final form, isn't basically EVERY Digimon some sort of laser cannon missile firing Godzilla monster? And can't they evolve like whenever they want to?
i stopped paying attention to pokemon after i couldnt get a ds cause of my bad eyes, but from what i heard, they can now control time or some ****.
i loved both up until like season 3 for digimon (every season has new characters starting with 3, i mean new storylines and new universes)
and i liked pokemon up to Johto (season three? was orange islands or some crap season 2?) i dont remember.
now as for who would win... well digimons have friken missiles and guns. so i guess thats unfair. but as for the powerhouses, the newer pokemon seem to unfair. if you were to go with the old regular legendaries like the ones that came in packs of three, then i'd say i'd have to wait the war out.
after all, in the tv show, every non main good guy or bad guy in digimon sucked bad, and in pokemon, the smaller they are the better they seem to be...

MetroidPrimePwn
that's true but then there's only a few of them. well, usually. im sure that's nothing mewtwo or something couldnt take care of. but the problem with a war between them is which universe are you using?
digimon has like 4 or 5 different universes based on seasons 1-2, 3, 4, 5 or the games that dont follow each other or anything.
pokemon's world is discovering new land everytime they want to extend the series. so bascially, they'll be fighting a war with endless suplies of soldiers. or at least until all the humans die and the pokemon are just wild animals again except for like ten.
Digimon would win.
They can control when they evolve and even what stage they evolve to!! And some of them have about 4 stages of digivolving. And when they combine they becom e uber powerful weapons of mass destruction firing rockets and laser and rubbish. Plus, Angemon can wipe any super powerful digimon with its little finger, so imagine a pokemon vs Angemon....
Not to mention Ash is a loser compared to Ken/Davis/Tai/Matt.
AND Digimon has 'Rock Lee' (POWER OF YOUTH!) on their side :P
