Call me crazy, but I think Mark Hamill. I mean, he voices an excellent Joker in the cartoons and in Batman: Arkham Asylum. I haven't seen him acting on the big screen in a long time, though, so I have no idea how his actual acting would hold up.

That is your opinion, But your opinion is insane. The Dark Knight got all the praise it did because of Ledger's death. It really wasn't that great of a movie, I'd rather watch Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. That was an enjoyable movie.

Definitely..i didn't really enjoy the movie though...i mean... a guy gets shot and doesn't bleed...or get a bullet wound even?...Other than that..it was ok..Johnny Depp.

Anyone.. no disrespect to Heath Ledger, but i just felt that the joker was just really well scripted in that film, and it was down to that more than Ledgers performance that made it so good.
[QUOTE="789shadow"]He would be terrible as Penguin, but teriffic for Riddler. Yea he would probably make a really good riddler actually.Johnny Depp, but he would be better as Penguin or Riddler.
Citrus25
I heard rumors they're trying to get him to be the Riddler. Please... let that be true.Johnny Depp.

Yeah... that totally wasn't my question, now was it?The Dark Knight got all the praise it did because of Ledger's death. It really wasn't that great of a movie, I'd rather watch Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. That was an enjoyable movie.

Jim Carrey
yes, i know he played the Riddler in Batman Forever, but I still think he'd make a good Joker.
He has proven his worth as a dramatic actor imo, all he would have to do is add a pinch of dark humor.
Hmm.. I did like him as in the Incredible Hulk... I don't think he has enough insanity to pull off the Joker, though.Edward Norton is pretty cool, dunno how he would go as a Joker.

Heh, but unfortunately, I'll always picture him as the Riddler from Batman Forever, which he pulled off exceptionally, by the way. It's actually 90% sure.Citrus25Sweet! Just 10% more!

To me, Mark Hamill is "The Joker", and will always be "The Joker". I never adapted to Heath'sdark dementia of what the Joker is.
I'd still think Ledger, his death didn't really have an effect on how I judged his character although friends said he did start to intermingle his part with real life.moose_knucklerYou misunderstood the question. If Ledger died BEFORE he was cast, who would you choose?

Apply for a job at the Batcave, 'cuz you're bat**** insane.
Just a joke, just a joke. :P

Pssh! ***** please! :P
But seriously, he's a better actor than Ledger.
Okay, now you really do need to stop before I smack you. :|
Theokhoth
Watch What Dreams May Come. The movie and his performance are better than anything Ledger has done.

Robin Williams is okay. He is perfect for light-hearted comedies, but I can't seem him doing anything mildly serious at all. He is far too limited. Not that I'm a big Ledger fan either, his only amazing performance was The Dark Knight. Brokeback Mountain was terrible, IMO.Robin Williams is okay. What? :? Watch What Dreams May Come and then tell me he can't play a serious role.

The script hasn't even been written. No one knows, except maybe Christopher Nolan, if The Riddler will be in it.
I hope Johnny Depp won't be cast as him. I don't see him being cast as a villain, anyways.
