I think Revan would pwn Luke in all honesty.

Luke would win.
Yet Obi would own them both.
Don't get me started on Yoda.
The Force > Everything. End of discussion. :|
[QUOTE="MissRiotmaker"]However, in terms of seriousness... Jedi Apprentice MissRiotmaker would own them both. :|horgen123:lol: You are owned by Obi :P
Obi is a God to me so that's alright. My rabbit's name is Obi. Obi is teh Win.
Revan...My version of Revan kicks so much ass.mattmaul5488
But can you intimidate and use force lightning?

Force Lightning for sure......I had Fear ...That was fun...For those who don't know, Revan is a Jedi of ancient legend.
He lived 4000 years before the Star Wars films, and there is one absolute version of him:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Revan That's what Bioware considered the "true" Revan.
He has skills in both sides of the force and is one of the most powerful Jedi AND Sith in existence.
count dooku was my favorite - he had the most badass lightsaber
general grievious was the best mini-boss of any of the movies
All of the jedi in the films are NOTHING compared to the video games jedi and the expanded universe jedi.
Darth Bane > Life
Darth Vaders apprentice > Life
Darth Nihilus > Life
Depends if its both at their peak i'd have to give it to Luke since he is apparently Godlike, if it's not in their peak then Revan probably, had a proper jedi/sith training where as Luke picked it up overnight really...Apollo5000Darth Vader could have easily killed Luke, but he was a pansy and didn't.

Its much later on he learns 1337 skillz
if we're talking about EU luke, the luke would definitely win. the guy can rip star destroyer engines off, move black holes, and use emerald lightning. there's really no contest here.dooly420
I've never really read any of the Star Wars books, mostly for that reason. Is there any effort to stay in line with the movies or do the authors just think "hmm, how can I make (insert character here) even more badass? I know! I'll make him move black holes!". Seriously, Luke was a wimp in the movies. He didn't even kill Darth Vader or the Emperor and had it not been for Darth Vader deciding to switch sides at the last second he would have been dead. In the movies he was without a doubt the weakest jedi in the series, and yet in the books he's some sort of god figure? What the hell.
^I'm personally not a fan of a lot the things the EU pulls with regard to staying in line with the movies. For instance, do we ever see X-Wings exibit any kind of "shielding" in the Star Wars movies? No, they take the same 1 or 2 hits Tie Fighters take and then make a big firework. But the EU invented some kind of pervasive notion that all Rebel Fighters are shielded and Impieral Fighters just aren't? Then how did the Ties fly through Hoth's asteroid field without being pulverized to death by microparticles?
Or how about Karen Travis? She still thinks just 3 million clones at peak makes sense when trying to conquer and control a whole galaxy.
Revan is a wanked out character and RPG trash. It seems to me that most people say "he wins because I like him so there."
Considering how powerful Luke is in the EU I would say that it wouldn't be a difficult fight to judge. Luke, aside from maybe Yoda is probably the most powerful Jedi to have ever existed in Star Wars. Far more powerful than any Sith Lord could ever imagine. The EU stuff kind of really blows his powers way out of proportion... but then again, he is the genetic son of Anakin Skywalker, which technically due to the strengthening of Force affinity through genetic lineages, would give him a higher midichlorian count than Anakin, who, IIRC, had a higher count than Yoda as a child.
Revan was powerful but not nearly as powerful as even Darth Vader... and Luke at his height during the New Jedi Academy period could have easily defeated Vader.foxhound_fox
Well said. * applauds *

X-Wings "shielding" in the Star Wars movies: It's plausible that at that point the Rebellion could only afford a cheaper X-Wing type that lacked shielding/other.
How did the Ties fly through Hoth's asteroid field: They would lack ray shielding (blocks energy), but have proton shielding (blocks physical objects). Or, a TIE fighter is resilent enough to take some small hits, by very small rocks.
3 million clones at peak trying to conquer and control a whole galaxy: Odd, but they would probably have used non-clones in the war as well. Or, that could be the number of clones at the beginning of the war, and more were added to the army over time.
Revan is a wanked out character and RPG trash: I don't know why you would say that.
Besides; this is a fictional universe, based on a very old movie. I can take some oddities every once in a while.
The only fight that Luke ever won against a Sith was when his dad let him win.

Are you saying the Rebels wouldn't use the best equipment they had to defend their most important base at Yavin? What about Endor? We see all types of Rebel Fighters succumbing to one or two hits even over Endor much later in the series. If shielding is present, it is *not* stronger than a TIE's.

Having some kind of field to defend against physical impacts in the SW universe would be a no brainer. And it's all well and dandy to say that TIE's have them as well. What isn't so good is to say that Rebel Fighters have a much different/better system when they clearly don't.
If the TIE is resilient enough to withstand high-speed impacts from microparticles WITHOUT shielding of any kind, that ALSO flies right into the face of the EU minimalist idiocy.

Even 3 million at the start of the war is pretty conservative. And Travis wasn't just using that as the 'starting' number, she was actually trying to pass it off as the Clone Trooper peak numbers during the war. The sheer stupidity of this is mind numbing, you can't even control a large continent with 3 million soldiers. Much less a whole galaxy. Thankfully, Lucasfilm's policy on conflicting canon is simple. If it doesn't make sense in the context of the movies, ignore it. Their is no way the Republic could control any signifigant region of space with just a few million or even a few billion Clone Troopers. They'd need literally hundreds of billions at least. So Travesty's number can be thrown out. (Despite her continuous attempts to stop people from doing that.)
Revan is a wanked out character and RPG trash: I don't know why you would say that.
Because he's depicted as doing all sorts of wildly powerful things that just don't fit at all within the context of the universe. (Besides his/her legions of drooling fanboys.) Honestly, one of the biggest things that infuriates me about the EU is how they're always trying to outdo Lucas. "Well our guy can knock star destroyers out of the sky. Even though we never see anything like that happen in the movies even during instances the characters would be idiots not to use such abilities."
Besides; this is a fictional universe, based on a very old movie. I can take some oddities every once in a while.
So can I, but the EU has crossed the line repeatedly and just won't ****ing stop. You get around a corner, and what do you see? More ultra-wank comic book attention hungry nonsense.
Another thing that annoys me about the EU is how chronically unoriginal it is. Can you point out any stories in the EU that *don't* involve "Jedi this and force sensative that" or "must find Sith long johns of doom" or some such? I thought their was a Star Wars universe here. It doesn't have to revolve around the Jedi at every turn.
