Jackie Chan wasn't very popular internationally back then. He was a star in Asian countries but was still unheard of in the west (i'm sure many people knew him but he wasn't in the mainstream light). I'd go with Madonna but from the list Stallone.

I'd also say Madonna, but from the list I'd pick Hulk Hogan. Michael Jordan was maybe the biggest star of the 90s; in the 80s he was still famous but hadn't reached his full potential yet.
