I think its highly possible. Theres so many organized groups of racists in this country that I think would at the very least ATTEMPT it.

Obama being assassinated would be a disaster, but there are hardcore racist elements at large in the US, and I wouldn't put it past them to be 'insulted' by the election of a non-white President. It's sick, but these people are out there. But would he be a bigger target than controversial Iraq invader George Bush? Probably, again due to more potential internal dislike, whereas Bush has more external hate in other countries. And hating someone because of a war is normal, because that hate can be justified in some way. Hating someone because of their skin colour shows signs of mental instability, and so violence is more likely.cjek
