If peter dies in heroes ill be pissed

nah, they just are trying to make him a complex character, in the end he's going to do the right thing

It doesn't seem they can heal themselves when they have a massive chunk of something stuck in them (glass, etc). Then what will an explosion do?

I don't know. I'm not even up to this episode where I am (chapter nineteen I think).

I love this show. 

I wonder what will happen if the head gets chopped off or something.... it seems they can't themselves if they have something stuck in them like the glass in peters head and the sharp wooden object stuck in Claires head. Can't wait for CHapter 20 next week. PimpiNbananas

If I remember right, the stick was actually stuck in her neck.  If that is what I remember, then that would imply anything that damages or obstructs their brain and spinal cord kills them until its removed.
