If robots got as complex as the kind in Detroit: Become Human, would you get one?

What would you have it do? How would you treat it?

I would get a robotic black cat. I wonder how regular cats would treat it. It would probably be illegal to put claws on robotic pets.

I would like to replace at least half of the world's politicians with them. Humans shouldn't be allowed to govern themselves.

Most of us wouldn't be able to afford one. Think a luxury car that can sort of drive itself is pricey?

If I can get over my initial scepticism of it, then yeah sure I would get one. It would be odd not treating it as a human.

A sex bot would be good. Woman without all the work.

Super complaint, do dishes, wash my feet, make dinner. Endless compliments about your intellect and physical strength.

Be designed to be as physically attractive as possible and not age, with constant firmware updates. Real woman would become obsolete relatively quickly. Especially the progressive ones. Become very desperate unless they started making male versions that look like Ryan Gosling coated in oil.

Probably get one designed like Mikie Hara. Not sure if bother having it speak English, the Japanese may be more appealing.

Would help with population problems. Drastically or wholesale remove sexually transmitted disease.

At worst may get urinary track infection, but that will be down to user negligence.

Imagine something akin to the human equivalent of the Jem Hadar, controlled by drugs to carry out the jobs no one wants to do. Deliberately debilitated minds. George Lucas prequels re-evaluated.

Along with designer children moving us to a future of accepted eugenics.

The West tends to frown about the idea, but the likes of China has no moral qualms.

I didn’t play the game, but I would welcome a robot when I am elderly to do all the chores.

But I suspect, by that time healthcare and body replacements or improvements will also be available.

Sad to read that some people want sexbots, it’s kinda sad.

Worse still some believe they could replace a real woman, it really shows how you value the opposite sex.

But I guess some men simply don’t grow up and continue to want to play with dolls.
