If the Internet went down for a year...

What would you do? How many of you would suffer from the lack of Internet access? How many of you would get out of your chairs and actually go outside and spend more time outside? Discuss!

I would probably read during the day and hit the bar with some friends every night.....

I'll probably just spend more time gaming and going out. Also, I'll get more sleep.

I'd just go back to what I spent my days doing before the internet, watching tv.

If the internet were down for a year all the geeks would just find different reasons to stay indoors. Card games, video games, etc. Nothing would really change. Just less porn consumption

Just remember that if you go into a room after another guy has been in there and there's goopy white stuff all over everything it was just a ghost.

Uh, I'd play local games for a year and sometimes maybe invite some friends over to play deathmatches and whatnot :P

The biggest loss for me would be the loss of MSN, so I'd probably hang out with friends more. Not heaps more though, I usually don't spend heaps of tme on the internet.

I'd finish my single player games and read, sunlight burns :P

I'd probably drive around a lot more, I love going for long drives to nowhere.

I'd kill everyone, and get RSI from resorting to text messages instead. I'd also play 1 player games, and would probably do better in college.

Honestly it would be a blessing. I dont really need the internet.

But no, I dont. I dont use it for networking, outside emails, and any emails I send out could easily be done via phone. When I look up addresses and stuff, I still use a map and phone book.

As for video games, Im fnding myself tired of them tbh. I still play WoW, but not playing it would be a blessing. As for other online games like TF2, Counterstrike, etc, I dont play those too much, likely becauseIve been playing them for 10+ years (I was an avid TFC player and, tbh, was let down with TF2 despite its excellent gameplay).

Yup, I would be a much better person without internet. Unfortunately its so damn accessable and so damn easy to kill time with.

I'd be annoyed... I get all my school work / info and do research on the net, download music etc, get tabs...but I guess I'd just have to spend time at the library and work out songs by ear :P

The net is a good time killer.

If the internet went down for a year society would collapse. Without email, instant access to vital information, virtual advertising, stock market and porn expect a dark age of chaos. I guess my answer would be looting :p .

Seriously though, i see it as a rather good money making opportunity.

I'd spiral into slow descent of drugs and alcohol, getting arrested and causing trouble. Then I'd go to rehab, and re-emerge exactly on the day the internet comes back up and continue my life from where the internet left me off at.

I'd be glad... World is better off without it.

so much of my musician information comes from the Internet, it's a lot easier than subscribing to 20 magazines.
