I'm sure it would get old really fast. It would be cool at first, seeing planets with life on them, but then there would be so many planets with different variations of life and civilizations it would become repetetive. It wouldn't be like earth where there is a limited amount of organisms to discover and learn about, the universe would probably have unlimited or an extremely high number of planets with life on them so to where it would just get ridicoulus and become uninsteresting once people realized what life really is. Instead of studying life as unique, people would start to study it the same viewpoint in which they study bacteria.
