Pick an era/decade and place to be in regard to various genres of music being created. Where and when. I think I'd have liked to have been in England during the late 70's/early 80's and the explosion of post punk. My most favorite music.

The 50s, gotta love those swinging tunes and the hot cars!SetsaI don't know much about the 50's. Though a 57 Chevy is a cIassic.
I share your same view, I would've loved to be there when Joy Division and Wire were playing. But also to hear King Crimson in the 70's, they were just amazing.Pick an era/decade and place to be in regard to various genres of music being created. Where and when. Because i wish i could have been a fan of the alternative rock that started out in that decade from the very beginning. Up untill a few years ago i was very confused when it came to music, i jumped all over the place and after a while stopped listening to music altogether. Now i have found what i like. Alternative/prog rock, and some electronica as well.
I suppose it would be nice to be in New York during the mid '50s and just jazz club my brain out going to clubs and catching all those legendary names when they were still active.

I like The Who, The Beatles, and a few others that came around in the late 60's... that's about it. As a hippie, you don't have to do anything at all. You sit around half naked, smoking weed with no consequences. That said, not having any income and living as a completely useless human being would be lame, so that's why I said only a few weeks.
i really like a lot of the art (not just music) that came around the era between ww1 and ww2. stravinski was making a splash in music, otto dix was practicing his retrospectively twisted neue sachlichkeit, picasso was getting into cubism, dali took his surreal style for a darker turn, and murnau was filming some quality german expressionism ala nosferatu.
the happening places were france (mostly paris) and germany. if it was a temporary thing, then yeah, id like to experience the era for a bit. i dont think id want to live then, though i suppose that misses the point.
yes i completely agree with this. i feel like life was more interesting and less complicated back then.I like The Who, The Beatles, and a few others that came around in the late 60's... that's about it. Same, Except I'd go from the mid 70's, just for overall punk. Please Log In to post.
